Well done on the loss mhe :T :T
Welcome mardatha and glad you've nearly made it home Rachel... the temptation over there must have been amazing.
Food today
Boiled egg with HM seedy bread fingers
HM Pea and ham soup
HM beef cobbler with cauliflower, carrots and peas.
Snacks - dried apricots, apples
Opted for really filling, warm meals today. We were locked out the house for nearly 3/4 hr last night when the lock mechanism on the door jammed. I've still not completely thawed out. Still, got a warm fuzzy feeling when I saw how the neighbours were all coming out to check when we were trying to break in. Talk about neighbourhood watch... not much gets past that lot.OH has such patience.. he spent ages unscrewing a panel from the side gate so he could put his hand in and release the bolt off it.. then he spent another 20 mins with his hand through the cat flap of the side door trying to reach the keys in the door with a claw hammer to knock them down..... I was all for taking the hammer to pop out a small window panel in the door and get straight in but he was having none of it.
I have to say that when the keys fell to the floor it was like the seaside claw machines with the teddy bears... we were so excited and in hysterics. Our new neighbours must think us mad. :rotfl:
Our 2 lovely children cleared off to my parents claiming they needed a wee and left us to it. When I called mum later she told me they were fine... drinkin hot choc and eating kitkats to warm them up. They'd only taken 30 secs to come up with the 'busting for the loo' story... hardly time to get hypothermia! Little scallywags!
Right enough waffling. Will catch up with you all later. Have some scones that I must bung in the outside freezer. They're calling me and I'm having none of it!:mad:AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

Morning ladies, I feel a lot better today, the pain has subsided and Idon't feel sick now. Yesterday I crawled out of bed at lunchtime and spent the rest of the afternoon and evening on the sofa with a blanket - some week off:rolleyes:
All I had to eat was 2 slices of toast and some herbal tea which might explain why I as 11st3 on the scales this morning - false loss I know but it felt good
I'll take it easy today as I feel really weak but hopefully I#ll get a potter round the shops, OH has a rare day off, he's going to the allotment so I can have the car - YAY!!
Now, can I remember how to drive
Not sure about food today, whatever takes my fancy but whatever I eat will be light.
HAve a good day ladies :A
Thanks for the well-wishes
Anyone heard from Frogga yet?

Morning All,
Well.....the bake-fest was not as bad as I imagined---the cheese & ham muffins are not as appealling as imagined:o Must have done something wrong cuz they're so 'gooey'; even blitzed a couple in the micro this morning & it didn't make an awful lot of difference, but Pup likes 'em:p
The BM arrived right smack-bang in the middle of the baking, but I think I'm a little scared of the wonders it will behold cuz I haven't unpacked it yet:eek: [Pup had skool last night, then Holby & CSI....gotta get things in perspective]but be ready for me to bore you silly with all the details at a screen near you soon:D

Finally on my way home - back in Newark airport again (hopefully all will go to plan this time!
I'm starting in earnest tomorrow and will weigh myself in the morning and then go to Tesco and stock up on "good" stuff.
Its impossible to eat normally in America - everything is flipping massive or full of meat!
Back to normality soon I hope.
Will report in on the damage on Thursday when I'll be back online.;)
Hi
DOn't beat yourself up if your weight isn't what it should be when you get home. FLying does strange things to the body sometimes, retains fluid etc. I'd give yourself a couple of days before you believe your scales!!!!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Morning!
I didn't snack at all yesterday - rare, but did eat more dinner than I probably should have done (wholemeal pasta / pesto, w/ mushrooms and onions and salmon steak chunks (fried in dry pan, with just lemon juice - naughty bit was the pesto!) - I had seconds as was still quite peckish and didn't need any leftovers as OH and I are having lunch out today (he has an interview near my work) and off to his parents tomorrow morning. I did drink near on 3 litres of water / squash and no tea or coffee, as my throat was so sore thanks to that burning hot fish!!!
Today:
B: 2 slices of wholemeal, smidgen of honey and flora light
S: coffee (milk and 1/2 sugar)
L: out for lunch, no idea. Something good!
S: pot of beetroot (!)something quick as home late - nachos and HM salsa, probably (not much cheese)
As away all weekend I'll be a bit out of control, but will make sure I turn down any in-between-meal snacks, which are usually my downfall when we're visiting our parents. Am having my haircut tomorrow afternoon (first time since November) so surely that will knock me off a pound or two!!!!
Have a lovely day you all xxx0 -
Hi all, hope you're all doing fine. Haven't managed to weigh myself yet as week has been crazily busy but have done ok so far
b = porridge and banana
l = low fat butty (forgot to bring my soup and so will pick one up in Morrisons)
d = turkey, sweet potato and cherry tomato curry - sounds vile but is lush - its a chinesey/thaiy recipe - not very weight concious but I had whoopsed diced turkey, toms and sweet pots so it will hardly cost me anything to make and its super tasty
Have a great day and congrats to all the losers, you're keeping me semi focusedComps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%
