Morning all you lovely lot :D

mhe.... i made a fruit bread last night....with fruit in :p . Suddenly at about 11pm i found myself in the kitchen up to my elbows in flour n stuff "concocting" It ended up being a bread dough with an egg in- a bit of brown sugar not white, some mixed spice, some currants, shredded coconut.. and i left the dough in the fridge..and now its sat in its tin proving.. heck knows what it will taste like  but im going to slice and freeze it for when i fancy something different...just wish i had some mixed peel in..must get some next time i shop ....

    meals today:-
    1. brekkie -25g oats soaked in milk and 2 chopped peach halves chopped in.......was rather yummy
    2. lunch -pork n hm stuffing, potatoes, broccoli, cauli, n peas
    3. dinner... not really sure yet :D
    4. snackies... jelly -now have strawberry ones with peaches in :p , frui or yoghurts
Hi rachelmk and welcome on board... hope you are out of the airport by now ;) -just read your post on the GC thread :p .......Im sure you will get loads of help and encouragement on here

Taplady... glad to see you back :T ...nice to see you had plenty of lovely goodies... well it wouldn't have been a holiday if you didn't would it :D

Cheerfulness.... that "grotty pile" was quite something...trust me  . Hubby always gets dressed for work in the basement :rotfl:-he has a whole room down there full of his army kit -you can imagine how much stuff he has after 22 years -they issue stuff but won't take it back even though its out of service now  .. so he gets up in a morning and gets dressed down there, then leaves his uniform down there when he gets in and straight into the shower.... at least he doesn't have to come in through the basement door on the back garden :p -only because our front door opens into a tiled hall and the other basement door is in there too :rotfl:

RoseWood.. hope you are back to full strength soon :D

Keiss... don't worry about it..its only an ickle tiny bit and you wil whip it off again in no time :T

Well i have decided that its time to start trying to tone up as well as burn cals  ..... otherwise im gonna look like a deflated balloon when im done  ... so as of tomorrow its gonna be exercises on the floor for me.. sit ups n the likes...well those sit ups where you slide your hands up your thighs.... can't even attempt the other ones because of my head... going to do small batches 2-3 times a day....

well i had better get off and get another cuppa -well hubby is home to make them now :p ..
have a good day everyone and keep up the good work :D oh -hello to anyone not mentioned

    Hi All,
Good to have you back Taplady glad you enjoyed your hols.
MrsM when my youngest used to work in the stables on a Saturday I made her strip in the porch, clothes hay etc went straight in the machine and a bath was waiting up stairs- a basement would have been more private.
Good idea about exercise- I'm so sad I've got arm weights for walking now:rolleyes: anyone know how to stop my boobs looking like a ping pong ball in a pop sock?:o
    Today smoothie for brekkie
Lunch broc/chicken dolcelatte bake with rosemary new pots and veg.
After that it's all a blur
I need to spend some time juggling money to stay on top!
    Yesterdays steps 12779:A
I bought this walking set in The Works yesterday- it's boxed set includes a pedometer (love a spare!) the hand weights and a book on walking (can't imagine what it says apart from place one foot in front of the other repeat!) Anyway this boxed set was a fiver so if anyone fancies a go....
Also got a good deal on Glucosamine from Holland and Barretts high strength (1000) for 60 tablets £4.99 instead of (19.99:eek:) until early April.

Enough waffle...... Happy Sunday... bring it on

    Morning!

    welcome Racelmk:hello:

Thanks MRSM for filling me in about the Frog's absence:T , hope she soon gets her PC sorted!
I had a great holiday - watched the big storm from my bed right by the window - the sea was about 6 meters away! I bought lots of clothes including 2 size 12 pairs of trousers:j never thought I'd fit my fat bottom in a size 12:D

I'm off shopping soon as the cupboards are empty. so no food plans for today yet but I've had a small bowl of porridge for breakfast.

mhe - hope the loaf tasted nice!;)

back later to check on you all!
    Do what you love :happyhear

hmmmm we do have an outside tap ;) ..should have thought of that... out on the patio for a hose down

I never thought about getting some of those strap on weights for my wrists... not shoving them on my ankles.... i allready have really muscular calfs... bit like a russian shot putter :p its too long spent waitressing in my youth..well that and lugging my bulk around for many a year :rotfl:
My sis has lost most of her "assets" and she is pleased after years of needing 2 buckets and a few foot of rope :rotfl: ...
I know that for me weight loss surgery wasn't the answer .. just needed to get my bum into gear  .... but i have always said that if , after all this work to get to goal weight i am left with excess skin -that i can't solve with exercise then i will have surgery to remove it.... Me n hubby were on about it only yesterday and he has said that its of no bother to him if i do have excess... but as im putting in so much effort -if it bothers me then im off to see the army doctors - much better than general GPs ;) to see what can be done and if need be we will pay to have it done  .
Im really hoping to get to goal by xmas this year as that then gives me 18months before hubbies post is up... so 18 months to try and get it sorted whilst out here if need be.. the German hospitals are brilliant ..it will be a last resort mind.... so ..many exercises are the order of the day

  • Morning all! Had a lovely time last night and really don't think I did too much damage..... melon for starters followed by steak with chips, mushrooms, onion rings and peas and of course a glass or 3 or vino:p , by which time I was so stuffed there was no room for pud!!! Strange thing is I'm really hungry this morning - why does a big meal late at night always do that??!!

Already had some porridge and a banana and I can still hear the slice of nephew's birthday cake I brought home calling me from the fridge so might have to have that in a minute with a coffee... but I am going for a short walk later so that should sort that out! Doing a chicken dinner for this evening.

Feeling quite hopeful the weigh in tomorrow..... hope that's not famous last words!

    Have a good day everyone!

Thanks to all for the lovely welcome!
I'm actually where I'm supposed to be now - Baltimore - and will be here until Tuesday afternoon when I fly back (with any luck!)

Have decided to try to start being good today - there's no point in putting it off I guess. It will be difficult being in the land of oversize everything but even saying no to the alcohol and desserts is a start isn't it?

Have to get myself up and showered and get to work now - presenting scientific stuff at a meeting - and probably get something to eat for breakfast (instead of the half packet of Skittles in my handbag!)

    Have a good day!
