DH also went to Tescos today and got 12 cans of Tesco Diet Coke (which tastes like the 'real thing' to me) for 1.99!!! Bargain - so I'll be taking those to work with me now too.
So, I think I'm starting to atone for last weeks sins!
xx
Well done! See how well you're doing! I will try the tesco diet cokes, if they are really the same, I'll switch as real thing costs £2.65 / 6 cans...Total debt £3625.07.

Ooooh the sunday shopping sounds absolutely fab - well done. Just reading about that apple pie makes me hungry...
I am using body lotion as face moisturisercheapo 200mil bottle for £4.55.. I know it's not best for my skin but hey I can't afford yonka for £30 per 30ml can I...
Yay your debt is under £2000 - lucky you!
Well done for taking the bus! Yesterday I even skipped the bus fare by 1.) walking from paddington to earls court 2.) getting someone to give me a lift home - at least £3.60 saved because I would have had to change twice anyhow. That's good isn't it??
I didn't do that well with shopping tho.. I dont even want to think about it as yesterday I had to buy essentials such as shampoo etc.
Good luck with your NSDs. :j I am doing one today, tomorrow, friday, and sat. Hopefully sun but might not as will have to eat....- I really ought to start baking more, I've recipes for lots of "loaf" style cakes that will freeze well in slices so I don't end up eating too much at once
Oh - for the moisturiser (which you could budget for, say, one of the boots ones about £4 or so? better than body lotion, or the cheapest one with SPF I've found in boots is about £5.50), if you've got a savers store anywhere near you (I think they're nationwide, a bodyworks might also do it) then they've got a range of coconut facial care products which are very cheap and the richer moisturiser is £1 for a big tub which smells really good (not overpoweringly coconut!) really works and lasts AGES.
I was SO pleased to see that number go down... It's still going to take me a fair amount of time to pay back, unless I get a totally amazing payrise and right now I'm trying to get a cost of living increase, so I'm not holding my breath, but it's getting there. It's a non-terrifying amount now and I can forsee a day when it'll be non-scary, too.
AWESOME work on the walking and getting lifts! Walking is so good for you, too. Go you! :T I should do that more often - if it's not totally pouring down, then it's a really good stress decompressor, too
essentials are essentials - they're in your budget, right? So no guilt required.Shampoo is not equal to a DVD

My NSD is going really well today - I'm over the "difficult" times of breakfast, the walk to work and lunch. Now the canteen is closed, and on the way home I'll just want to get home
How's yours going today?
Tommorrow I'm spending, because I'm going for a celebratory coffee with a friend, but I'm only going to have one coffee and that's all I'll spend. So I'll be thinking like I'm on an NSD during my "difficult" times.
yes! You have to eatDo you have a menu in mind? How are you at cooking?
And today? My plastic is At Home! (I have lunch food in my drawer/the office fridge, my mobile and my travel card. I don't need no stinking plastic)

I've had 2 NSDs in a row. I'm so pleased. DH makes my packed lunch for me and then we have bought a cafetiere and some proper coffee at work. Thus instead of heading down to Starbucks when I fancy a proper coffee I can make a cafetiere. Fab! I'm too scared to not take any cards with me - I work in London but live a long way away and I need to be able make sure I can get home if I lost my ticket!
However, I feel I'm making strides now.:j0 -
Bringing in a cafetiere is an awesome idea! I've started making my morning coffee in one for my commute and it's saving me a FORTUNE
I could, possibly, walk home if I lost my train ticket, so I can see why you'd want an emergency back up.LBM 21/11/07 Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts. Nerd Number 872 DFD ~07/2009 Stats at payday feb08: overdraft ; Gone CC1: £1,519.63 CC2: £402.15

I can't say I have EVER bought a tank top :rotfl:
My addition is tupperware - strange but true I have so much it is ridiculous, my latest is some little wheelie bin shaped mini containers to take pickles/sauces to take to work with lunch
Must repeat daily 'I DO NOT need any more tupperware containers'
I am soooooo sad
I have a tupperware thing going on too!, have loads but still gravitate towards them at the shops, wondering what I can use them for, am using a big ikea bucket to store the lids because took too long to match up from the 'tupperware' cupboard - but now I can see the lid i'm looking for at a glance - ridiculous but true:hello:there's me, OH, DS 10, DD 7,

Well done!!!! 2 NSds :T :T I ahven't had one in ages (well four days was it??) I need to keep up with you guys! So I commit today and tomorrow to be an NSD. Tomorrow is easy as it's forbidden to spend .. (apart from the evening...)
Very good, making your own yummi coffee instead of starbucks. Maybe you could buy syrups? :j and I know what you mean that you're scared not to take cards with you - I am too - WE ARE ADDICTED!!!!! We need to stop this.
For example, today I went to sunbed (prepaid and cheap!) and even tho company bus takes me there, then 3 mins walk, then 3 mins walk back and bus picks me up, free water and tea at sunbed place AND it was prepaid, I STILL had to carry my debit card, my oyster (what if bus cancelled) and my amex, otherwise I wouldn't have felt safe. PATHETIC!!!!!!!:eek:Total debt £3625.07.

emergency backup could be a fiver/tenner, SAWN into the purse only for emergencies. Doesn';t have to be a credit card with £3000 limit because then you tend to declare emergencies more often, dont you :rotfl:
I know a dfw girl (not on this forum, still fab!) who somehow manufactured her credit card into her expensive MAC powder pack. If she wants the card out, she needs to break the whole box = ruin the nice makeup and never be able to use it again. She showed me that it's there, it's visible through a little hole! Its a mastercard. she read this somewhere, that this helps, and hell it does, she hadn't declared "emergency" in months!!!!
Not sure how to do it tho if you dont have the tools... and I'm afraid I would break it all the same as I don't wear powder :rotfl:Total debt £3625.07.

I have left this till the end as this is the longest post!
Very good diea about the moisturiser, I just realised I bought a clean and clear one when I bought my essentials on tuesday (see, that's my problem... i didnt even realise I bought it!!! it was a 2 for £5 thing and I bouht the cleanser for £3.20 and this would have been £3.39 so I saved a lot) but I didnt even realise I did it! Nevermind, it's useful and I am happy about ti as believe it or not, clean and clear is the first product that works on my skin, I tried uber-expensive dior, yonka, decleor - all wrong. cheap clean and clear works! magic! :j
Today I cycled in again. I have only spent £1.80 on travel since the 17th of February. Un-bloody-believable. So happy. I used to spend £92 a month on travelcard. At this rate my oyster card (£9 CR) will last for a month....
Yesterday I have sinned with pretzels (£1.03 tesco and nicest thing in the worls) apples £1.29 for pack of 6, ate two and ..... jaffa cakes £1.15 a pack of 15, ate.. well... 12!!!!!:(:(:(:(:( that's all I ate all day tho but gosh, that;s why Im not losign weight.
I paid some £3.90 something - i feel ashamed. feel free to tell me off....
NSD today and tomorrow. Poss. sunday too.
Well done for doing well on NSD, how was your day today? How was the celebratory coffee yesterday? Did you astick to one coffee??
Well done also, for leaving the plastic behind. I don't have that willpower yet...Total debt £3625.07.

OK have decided, Bluewater is the work of the devil!!!!
Got my shoes for the wedding so that was all good, and my dress for the reception, both cheaper than I had been anticipating....
But it took a LOT of self restraint not to continue spending money!
Although I did keep walking round picking up things and then saying to my cousin, but you could pick the same thing up in Primark for £3!Wealth is not measured by currency0
