Ooh, what's the voucher thingummy for the PAYG phone to go with this? How does this work? I was going to do the Vodafone 3GB deal but my phone is on its way out and contract's up in Oct, so was thinking about new phone too.

Ive been looking into this a lil more and im thinking of going for the vodaphone deal, seems good to me for £15 a month

Nothing, sorry. Couldn't get down there, the salesperson didnt get back to me as she said she would, and the store only has a mobile no which only goes through to voicemail. So for simplicity I'm going via quidco - overall with £90 cashback works out £7.50/month and saves me messing about with complicated deals and having to go into town then having to remember to cancel things. Overall it's £40 more than the loophole suggested but still good value I reckon

Hi allthatmularky - How do you get the 12m contract with free modem?

When I look all I can find is "free with 24 month" and £79 with 12 month, making net cost 12 x£15 + £49 minus £90 quidco =£169 over 12 months

I tried to get the Vodafone £150 credit deal in store but they were certain that this deal didn't exist. I eventually got them to phone another store that IS offering it but the advisor said he would have to confirm with his manager and get back to me before he could offer it. Just waiting for his call.

We are looking to ditch our home phone line and try and get a dongle to access the interenet.

Where do I start looking to get a comparison of the different rates available, and how do I know if it will work in my area??

Hi,

I don't know of any comparison sites, but generally it will work anywhere where there is a mobile phone signal. If you have a 3G signal it will be faster like "broadband".

I would look around at various phone companies. Carphone warehouse sell a few now.

I got it on Friday. But they did have to phone HQ and check about the £150 credit deal. You have to write to cancel the 30 day one, I found when I tried to do it by phone. Am writing now. Otherwise all seems perfect and I need to think of somethign to do with my 6GB for August! Thanks loopholelarry
