I am showing two items in my closed listings one sold on 28/10 @ 0943 and the other at 23:13. I have had no dispatch now e-mails from Amazon!!

    Couple of questions:-

How long before I get this information?

I have had an enquiry about the later one from France ho wlong do I have to wait before offering it elsewhere?

Could other sellers take my auction out to remove my items? Can amazon track this sort of activity?

This lack of immediate confirmation is driving me nuts!!
  • Hi Hintza - there may be a problem with Amazon getting the payment sorted out on these 2 items, you may not hear anything else, which means that they need re-listing (but double-check on your seller account that no payment was actually made for it).

There was speculation on this thread the other day that other sellers could mess you around by 'buying' your items but not going through with the sale but I don't know if this is actually possible to do......

Well this is my way. Heat label with hair dryer and peel off. Sticky residue left over can be removed with white spirit. I heard wd40 does it too, but I only had white spirit to hand.HTH:)

The peeling off of label must be done v. carefully! I ruined the front of one book by rushing it.

Can anyone tell me how much of a fiddlefaddle is it to post worldwide. I have just started out in UK only and I am curious if your sales improve by leaps and bounds taking this step, though I am not ready at present.

    TIA :)

Both sales have now come through! One took over 24hours and the other over 12 hours. Is this normal?
  • Who know what's normal!

If you contrast this with ebay, not everyone pays for their ebay purchases with paypal the minute the auction closes so you can hang around for days waiting for the money and youpay a fee to paypal for the service too - at least this way you get the money that you were told you'd get, with no paypal deductions and fairly quickly too.
  • After reading this thread, I have just put five of my old uni law textbooks up..thanks alot to the OP...hope they sell!!
