selling books on Amazon - tips for more profit

now, I'm looking ahead, when my listings end on Amazon, is there an easy way to re-list the ones you haven't sold? They all seem to come up as 'closed', but will I be able to easily see the difference between closed sold/unsold. I've listed loads of technical books from work and I don't expect them all to go straight away.
Also, is it OK to re-list, or do Amazon deem that you've had your shot?0 -

it is easy to re-list, you will get an email to tell you when each book has come to the end of it's time, you can then go to your sellers account page - closed listings and click the re-list button. It is VERY easy to re-list one that you've sold so have a list of your sold ones to refer to.
You can re-list forever, they won't tell you that you're flogging a dead horse, they are happy to let you carry on, the buyer is out there, he just hasn't found you yet!
Did you see my post about the Pro Merchant seller subscription? it's now half price and well worth considering
If you think that you are likely to sell quite a few items per month you can take out a Pro Merchant subscription, this means that you don't have to pay the normal 86 pence closing fee (you still pay the 17.5% of the value fee). This subscription normally costs £28.75 per month but for 3 months you can have it at half price so if you sell more than 15 items per month then you're making a saving on normal fees.
You could really make this pay if you and a friend put all your books etc on the one Amazon seller account so you have more chance of going over the 15 item break-even mark. The closing date for this is 30 November.0 -
I have decided to start selling books on Amazon as a result of this thread. Thanks.

Thanks for the tips. I'll go and have a look at the merchant thing! I've already sold 7 books in 4 days! Wish I'd done the merchant thing sooner. Although I guess quite quickly I'll be down to the books no-one wants - but what have I to lose!
Also, I have a closed auction, but it hasn't appeared in the payments section yet. I'm not at home to check my e-mail. Could it be that as this one book is for £125 (yes, you got it!) it could be waiting for the payment to go through? The order was placed at 11am. I can't seem to see the buyers e-mail address either, otherwise I'd e-mail them and ask them.
I love Amazon - I'm off to the boot sales on Sunday!0 -
one hundred and twenty five pounds for a book - wow - I hope it goes through OK!
The half price Pro Merchant offer only started on monday, this was the day after I'd signed up at full price - so you haven't missed too much0 -

I trained in catering so squeaky thought that I'd know what the diff is between jam, curd, conserve etc...0

OOhhh, maybe there is a book on Amazon that'll help him out! I thought Jam had the fruit cooked down, but curd is a smooth set - a jelly of course is strained and set - stop me, I had better do some work before I get the sack!0

Wow, the £125 came through for the boring book!!! Going to cost me to post it, but at that rate - who cares! Thank you so much for this thread, it coiuld be soley responsible for putting me back in the black.0
