    Yup, they won't take it back if it's a software problem, at least not without charging you to look at it (even then they'll probably just reformat and reinstall Windows which you could do yourself)

    Try albertross's last suggestion and let us know what happens:

    The ethernet (wired) and wireless are two separate pieces of hardware. So if neither work then it's almost certainly a software problem.

    What happened when you tried albertross's suggestion?
