Discovered a real moneysaving women only weightloss club, Greenaway womens centre, cregagh road belfast at 9.30am on wed morning. £5 to join and £2 a week, however the £2's you get back when reaching your target or at the end of the session in June. so as you lose pounds you gain them. They dont give specific diet advice but if you are anything like me you know what to do its the just doing it thats the hard bit. I find it great for accountability and always get a laugh and at christmas it was great to get my savings back and buy something i wouldnt have bought otherwise for myself0

Oh Tara - never mind....could be 3 off next week?!! Maybe your hair has had a growth spurt - that might be 1lb's worth?! Im off to the gym tonight for my "induction". I think childbirth might have been less humiliating. Am feeling anxious, but am quite determined -
No. of swims so far - 5

No. of crisp packets since new year - 0.5 (ate a few from a pack last week and left the rest!)
No. of boxes of special K so far this year - 2
No. of visits to gym - first one tonight!Feel free to thank me, it makes my toes tingle and my ears go warm :T0 -
Ive made a decision to scrap any fizzy drinks from my diet, in fact i think im going to go for water being the only source of hydration for me, as i have heard this can have a drastic effect pretty quickly for someone such as myself who drinks a lot of liquids, usually over 2 litres a day, but for whom my actual water consumption is very low, so i will find out if a weeks no fizzy drinks helps!!
gotta get the motivation to make it to rugby training tomorrow night then go play football after, the football is fun so its easy to be motivated for that, but the training is the hard bit, so its harder to get motivated, but the proper training is what i need to get fit and get fat off!!!
so in conclusion, i havent been doing well weight wise this year, but am starting to take it a bit more seriously!!
and honestly reading through some of the posts really does help me!! so thanks to all!!0 -
Lost 2lb ... thats 2lb more than i expected but in 3 weeks since my last wii fit weigh in... must try harder...
I've been taking cholestral tablets for a few months now, success in that they have brought it down successfully but kak that i've suffered from worse headaches than i've ever done and i'm prone to them. Numbness at the top of my legs, lethargy and tiredness resulting in less exercise than i had planned to do...
Spent all this morning vegging about waiting on the doc to call me back regarding this, i was told they would ring between 10.30 and 11.15, so i took my bath early and guess what, he rang me then! 9.15!
so i rang back and was promised another call and still waiting. I called them back and tomorrow I have to ring them back at 2.30, i wouldn't mind but its my call time credit going down fast, and they are the first to complain if we don't keep our appointments0 -
2lbs is 2lbs Cee - well done you!! If its any consolation there is a bug going round at the mo causing headaches etc, so could be you have a bug rather than it being caused by your efforts. Frustrating re the doctor though :-( Hope you feel better soon...Feel free to thank me, it makes my toes tingle and my ears go warm :T0

i do know a guy who happens to do a lot of this boiled water instead of tea, he just likes it sometimes though, dont think its a weight issue with him. but yeah i will give that a go!! and i plan to try to get recommended 2 litres a day of water, all in the form of just water lol!!
i also heard that for people trying to loose weight and curb appetites that drinking a full glass or pint of water before eating gives the body the illusion of being full quicker, might give that a go too!! hopefully it works because i have the biggest appetite of anyone i know and could easily put away 6000 calories a day without a problem!! if i can cut my consumption down to 2500 and keep up my training then i should be on course to reaching my goals. wasier said than done though...0
