I don't envy you at all Jackie:o When my aunt passed, most of the house clearance was done by me muvva [they were sisters] & I; I made myself a promise then, to never let my stuff accumulate.......y'know what they say about promises & pie-crusts :doh:Too many of both in my case:p But Good Luck with the New House, & very Best Wishes for a Happy Home:D

Must say I haven't heard of that diet DizzyD. I had a good success with SW about 17 yrs ago so perhaps I'll have a little look-see....thanx;)

My current status is as follows:-
    1. I don't get sea-sick when I walk anywhere now:j

    2. Previously 'snug' fitting clothes are hanging like wet laundry on the line in a rain storm.
    3. I am naturally preferring to eat apples than biccies:eek: , even over me muvva's she had my fafforist & I felt quite _pale_ after four
I used to devour a whole pack of flies graveyards in one sitting & still be wanting more.

Having a struggle with the Black Mist---too much needs doing & no matter what I manage to do, it never looks any different. Still, it could be worse....I haven't quite given up trying:o

  • I know I keep dissapearing from the face of the earth ALL the time but I do log in almost everyday to keep a beady eye on things. I haven't really felt like adding anything to this diary/blog type effort because things haven't really changed that much.

I am the same weight, 14st 2 and can't seem to shift it.

I am still seeing a shrink (CPN) and am doing a very intense from of CBT

I am £1,250 in debt in all fairness this was for a much needed setee and a fridge freezer. I dont really see it as a debt but more of a investment to keep my butt comfortable when at home (setee) and our food from going stale mouldy and flat (fridge freezer)

I have a slight worry with my daughter as she is undergoing lung function test to see if she might have asthma. Just over a week of peak flow meter test left and then back to the docs to see what the next step is.

My husband is trying very very very hard to look after us and also build up his fishing business and machanic business while I on the other side plod along doing my usual bits and pieces of work.

Oh and then theres Gingie the cat. He's only got 1 eye bless him but he is hard work. I have had a few cats in the past but none of them have ever been as hard work as him.

So thats us, still the same, but I dont want to be the same I want to change for the better

So how am I going to achieve this?

    1) lose weight. this is my biggest problem

    2) bust the debt

    3) I'd really like a holiday, but don't feel like I deserve one with this debt we have so I guess I have to bust the debt now!

    4) I'm already panicking about xmas so I guess I better start sorting something out for that

    5) Its my dads 65th birthday in august. What can I get/do for him. (We are going up to Wales for his b'day)

I have joined a challenge over on the debt free wannabe board in relation to "No Spend Days" and am doing ok on that

We cook all our meals from scratch (had a massive disaster yesterday with salmon rosti:eek: I really can't think about it long enough to explain as it makes me feel sick)

I can't think of anything else at the moment.

I guess I know what I have to do. Its the doing it.

Hmm this pst probably makes no sense and I don't think I have quite finished writing it but I cant for the life of me think what else to write. Might do a BRB and hope I can think of what to write to finish it off. Its Crap having a shiiite memory.:p

    Hi Lisa

    Good to see you back.

To reflect back on what you said:

You have managed not to gain weight (this is an achievement in itself, I say as someone who has!)
You went into debt for something sensible that will last you
    You're now tackling this debt
You're thinking ahead about Christmas and it's only July
    You're cooking from scratch
You're having CBT - this takes a lot of nerve from where I'm sitting.

So it is NOT a bad story, try looking at it from a different pov.

BTW re Xmas I've been trying to pick stuff up in sales etc as I go along and I think it really does help!

Hi and well done on losing so much weight already! I have just started and think the first step must be the hardest.
I joined WW and there's a monhtly pass they do now £17 with no registration fee and for that you get access online and I am AMAZED at how good the online stuff is.
There are loads of recipes and a really good online planner.
And it's also helping me save money because I am planning properly and then only buying EXACTLY what's on the list.
I am also trying to walk for about half an hour a day. There's no set route/mileage but it actually is really nice to get out and about on my own for a bit. And it cheers me up immensely.
Don't really know why i'm posting jsut to say well done so far and keep going!!

    Hello Guys,

Thanks for replying, It makes me feel that you haven't given up on me even tho I feel like I have given up on myself sometimes.

Thanks Belfastgirl23 I can see what your saying but I can't apply it to me if you can see what I mean. I'm told that I am doing well but why can't I believe it? I want to see results, I am such an impetient cow.

Coinchaser, your more than welcome to type all you like here. I do. Sometimes it makes no sense too!!!!

BigMummaF I have had a look at that thread but I have to admit that I am not very creative or imaginative. Shame on me!

Here in sunny Devon it is chucking it down big style, so my 1st day back walking isn't looking too good is it? Whats going on here? I mean, it is July, isn't the sun supposed to be shining? Looks like the rest of the week is taking the same stance too. I don't know what I am going to do today. I need some free boredum relief. What can that be? I am sending DD to school much to her discust as she thinks cos she is undergoing lung function test school is the last thing she should do. KIDS!!

1st day back on the diet too........I wonder how this is going to pan out. Have had a coffee this morning no breakfast yet, I can never eat 1st thing in the morning unless its crisps. disgusting I know.

Well have to go now and do some tests with DD.

Might Ramble on later. BYEEEEE for now

    Lisa xx

    Hello,

Glad to hear you are still striving Lisa. I finally rejoined SW last week, it went well for 3 days then out the window yesterday. A family gathering buffet thing! Ho hum. When they weighed me nearly fell off the scales- sooooooooooo heavy. Yikes.

CBT-brilliant. It really is supposed to best one of the best things to do.

Admirng of any walks anyone does right now!! Rain or shine; it was lightening in London a few hours ago!

    Keep going and keep posting!

    xx

We've had quite heavy squalls here too, but never mind...saves watering the garden or washing the car:p

The Special Occasions threads have some really clever ideas--mainly based around hampers so you don't need to make anything other than the decision of what to put in it. It is easier if you can choose a theme, say......gardening. From that you can start looking for suitable bargains for example;-
watering can; gloves; twine; pocket knife; plant labels & pen to write on them; snips; paper back book to read once the weeding's been done:D
Or train-spotter.......collapsable fishing stool; note book covered in pix of Thomas the Tank Engine; decent biro; fingerless gloves; timetable for the closest major station:rotfl:

With a bit of imagination & a lot of suggestions from folk on here, it's surprising what you can achieve.
