:oUnfortunately No2 offspring especially, has inherited the weightiness of me & my father's side of the family.

A back injury a couple of years ago has caused several visits to a Rheumatology Clinic & an MRI Scan, & today we saw the images from that scan. There was a white mass, that looked as if it had just been rather badly painted & had runs in it
that was the layer of fat:o

I've never felt so guilty of being a useless mum as I did at that moment......a sobering thought indeed.

I'm a great believer in "All Men Being Created Equal" usually, but think I've spotted one or two design flaws.....
    • Why can some people stuff their cake-'oles with absolute carp & still be slim?
    • Why do some folk have long legs while others have short bodies etc?
    • Why can't we ALL be equal in everything, especially money & Good Health:o
Not asking for much am I:p

    Lisa
    bitter...lol
  • Sorry everyone,

Ive had a bit of a munk on and had a paddy over the last few days mainly because of incompetent people working for big organisations getting things mega wrong and making me want to freak out in the middle of Paignton.

Anyway. I suppose I am getting along ok mindwise. But diet wise = errr what diet? been a pig and ate 3bags of crisps today. no reason other than I wanted too. I cannot get past the weight I am now and that is pi$$ing me off beyond belief too. At the moment most of the time I just want to freak out.
    :p

Hi lisa, you're having a bad few days but really do hold onto the long term and all the gains you've made so far...don't backslide. Believe me the other end of the backslide is an awful lot worse and I should know!!!

Why do pootas always decide what you can & can't access just when you get to the good part:p

Hope all are well...miss you lot when I can't get on here.

Fully understand the 'JobsWerf' attitude of faceless corporates Lisa--they always think they're better than me, when in all probability they are ugly little oiks whose expression reflect their non-pleasant personalities:eek:

    Ooooh

Can completely relate to your last post Lisa. My food has gone out of the window and now I am unemployed as my contract finished a year early due to funding now happening.

Being fat and unfit makes me feel horrid and flat, but also have to get new job and feel motivated to do these things. Tricky. Anyhow, just had two biscuits and a bit of cake for brunch. Great. I know I could have had toast or something but they were quick, easy...and sugary. Need to get healthy, tasty, easy things in my cupboard.

    best wishes to all.
    xx
Green and minimal chemicals is the new black- I know a fair old bit about sustainability, specially energy and transport stuff. If I can help- please ask!

Aww Lexa, what carp timing on the job:o Makes me laugh--in that hysterical, manic way--when the government says everything's fine here in gud ole GB. Might be ok for them & their expense accounts for John Lewis, but what about us with a jumble sale budget to survive on:mad:

Likewise thier attitude to over-weight folks.....do they not realise that us plebs have to do our own cooking, laundry etc?

The offspring & I often discuss the likelyhood of a public up-rising & one has got 'Children of the Revolution' on their mp3:p

It's good to hear from you again. :)

I've not been good when the kids were off school. My good intentions went out the window, and I put 4lb on in 2 weeks! I knew i'd put on, but decided to go back to SW anyway. If I hadn't went back then it would have been all over. I was all ready to start again and i've been good and motivated since I went on Monday. I haven't adjusted my signature because i'm certain i'll have it off by next Monday!

My dh has been out of the country for almost 5 weeks (he's home on Friday) and i've been househunting on my own. I've been feeling overwhelmed, panicky, sick, and thought i'd have to go to the doctor's for something to calm me down. Our house isn't even on the market yet but I feel i'm going to drop down before it's all done and dusted lol I can't even concentrate on the TV - and that's saying something! :o

I'm having a 'laid back & look again' moment, so hope you won' t be offended by my post JB:o ..just want to make the most of it while it's here:p

Looking at it from the outside SIZE=1]which is always easier cuz you're not the one living with it 24/7[/SIZEI would break it down something like this:-
    • current house is not on the market, so no real hurry to find somewhere else
    • make a list of what new house shoud/should not have
    • contact a few estate agents in the area where new house will be for details of properties in price range to see what is around
    • use the property details to define what it is you are looking for
Don't know about you folks, but very often I have a clear idea of what it is I don't want but couldn't tell you what it is I'm looking for till I see it:confused:

But then I am slightly eccentric:p .......think a bit less 'pantomime' dame than John McClirrick but just as lardy:D .....& without the side-burns........or the interest in horse racing:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
