Desperatley NEED to lose a stone!!

What advise can anyone give me to try and achieve this?
I have been walking for around an hour most days and on the days I haven't been walking I have been doing a workout DVD and don't think I have enough energy or the time to do any extra exercise so obviously I need to work on the diet side of things.
Can anyone help me to work out the amount of calories I would need to consume each day in order to gain this weight loss successfully? Or does anyone have a rough idea of a menu plan to stick to??
Thank you soooooooooooo much for any help!!

A stone in ONE WEEK? Impossible. VERY Unhealthy and you shouldn't attempt it. There is nothing on earth that you could possible NEED so desperately, as you put it, for the sake of your health.
Impossible - to lose 1lb you need to burn 3500 calories (approx) and there is no way you are going to shift this x 14 in a week.
Have you posted correctly??? Cos I am really worried about you right now!!0 -
Losing this much weight in such a short period of time really doesn't seem healthy, or very easy (obviously it depends how much you need to lose in the first place)
If you don't have the energy to exercise more, reducing your intake of energy isn't really going to help things - the best way to lose weight in both the short and long term is just to eat sensibly and exercise as much as you can.
I'm sure there are some crazy "eat celery soup 8 times a day" diets about that may show results, but they're not sustainable and aren't what you'd call "fun".0 -
There is surely no point at all in losing any amount of weight quickly if it just goes back on again! Which is what would happen, even if you COULD do this.Signature removed for peace of mind0

Why do you need to lose a stone so urgently?
The most I have ever lost in a week is about 7lbs, this took a lot of hard work! I tried the cambridge diet (meal replacement shakes) which lasted about a day lol I was determined to lose the weight so I changed my diet to fish and vegetables or fish and chicken twice a day + around around 6/7 miles a day on the treadmill. I only did this for a week and the started eating meals like normal but I cut out snacking. I realised I could actually lose weight by eating + drinking the right stuff, so I gave up on fizzy drinks - wouldnt drink anything but coke before!
In July 07 I weighed about 16st 1lbs, I now weigh 13st 10lbs. I'm happy to say I am still losing weight slowly, my aim is to get to 11st 5lbs.
I don't think 'extreme diets' are a bad thing so long as you learn from them and continue to eat and excercise. I now eat fairly healthy stuff most of the time without really thinking about being on a diet.
I don't think its physically possible for anyone to lose a stone in 7 days.0 -
I just really really want to shift as much weight as poss in the next week and then carry on with sensible eating and exercise afterwards to maintain.
I had set myself a goal of having shifted this weight by now, but unfortunately my weight seems to have just gone up and down all over the place!Dream of being mortgage free....

I think you need to sort your head out first; you have some very unhealthy views on weightloss which may well have contributed to your frustration and yoyo-ing weight so far.
- Cut out sugary stuff and useless calories
- Eat lean protein like chicken and fish
- Eat lots of fruit and veg, as colourful as possible
- Add in low-fat dairy
- Add in carbs like rice, potatoes, bread
- Drink lots of water
- Get plenty of sleep
- Do cardio exercise for at least 30 minutes every day, and start some weight-training
To lose a stone in one week is impossible unless you have severe dysentery. You'd need to create a deficit of 7000 calories/day; even if you ate nothing at all and your body burned say 1800 calories a day just to survive, you'd need to exercise away 5200 calories a day. If you did rapid military-style marching, an 8-hour 32-mile march would still only burn 3000 calories. I hope you realise what a silly idea this is.0 -
YOu wont lose a stone in a week and if you do it wont stay off for long. SOrry! I would advise, if its for a special occasion, to buy some good underwear. I had a wedding to slim down for and bought the biggest knickers you have ever seen- they were great! Went from just under my bust to just above my knee and held everything in place!! Also, walk tall and pull your shoulders back- you'd be amazed at the differene it makes!
If you actually need to weigh less, then just eat sensibley- no junk food, low fat, 5 fruit and veg etc. Make sure you burn off more calories than you eat.
Good luck whatever you choose to do.
My dad used to go running with a bin bag under his tshirt- this is what footballers do apparently- could try that but make shure you drink enough water so you don't dehydrate!CC debt 4389/12000 slowly chipping away helps :j

That last post reminds me of when my Dad got married two years ago. At one point during the evening me and a couple of cousins were in the ladies and ended up laughing and showing off our big Briget Jones knickers and other amazing undergarments! As we were laughing and falling about other women were coming in and it seemed that just about everyone had the most amazing array of "foundationwear"!
It was so funny, on the top all elegant and glam, underneath we all looked like old grannies!
Go out and get some Spanx, I love mine!:smileyhea "here, hare, here" :smileyhea0 -
There is only one way I know to lose that amount of weight that quickly, but its illegal, lots of fun, and potentially dangerous.0

how about joining good old weight watchers? I lost 4lbs the first week, 3 the next and 3 the next, then a steady 1 or 2 until I had lost 24lbs altogether. A stone in a month would be possible, but to do that in a week would be a really bad idea.
If you wanted short term results for something- there are treatments like seaweed wraps, non invasive colonic massage and magic pants, that take inches off.0
