  • Was able to get my set yesterday for £8.73.

Had to have a discussion with customer services, but when I went to collect them the manager was expecting me :)

My hubby picked up 2 sets yesterday without a hitch at rhe East Kilbride store.
I had reserved & then got a text message when they came in stock.
Ebay now have a few both buy-it-now and on auction.
5791606489 - not mine I might add - I'm keeping them - great for family holidays when the kids want to go off for a while.

I dont like all this what argos is doing. I went to middleton, manchester and was told the price has gone up, showed a print-out and still the same rubbish the price changes on a regular basis etc. the resivation #069439.

I tried twice and with no joy so left it but disapointed, I reserved on the 17th and they said price went on 18th and the stock was due on 20th.

    :( A

I tried this one and had no joy with my rantings :)

Reserved them for collection last Wednesday at £8.73 and printed confirmation and a shot of the page off just in case. When I arrived at the store I went to the automated payment machine and put the number in only to find them listed at £24.99. I then went to the stock check machines they have by the catalogues and put the item number in, I was then presented with a price of £16.63!

So I had 3 prices and only one I really wanted to pay.... off to customer services with my ammo but sadly no joy. They checked the pricing and refused to honour the web price due to the clause that states that you pay the price in store on the day of collection - I was tired and didn't really have a need for them anyway so I bought a smoke machine instead.

Very rude to adjust prices like this though, fair enough if the website price had been adjusted in the meantime but when I checked again the next day they were still £8.73.

    Thumbs down for Argos.
