553/0568 Is the one you want at £8.73

They told me it was £4.99 which seemed a bit pointless at £8.73. Mind you, I was so cross at this stage, I said 'no thankyou' automatically.
Good value at £1.49 though.0 -

Good luck
Tried loads of stores in my local area ( Midlands ) and are all out of stock ( via text reserve )
Strangely enough, some replies I got were "Sorry, TWO WAY RADIOS (8.73) are out of stock" from some stores and others said "Sorry, TWO WAY RADIOS (24.95) are out of stock" ....
There's 2 Argos stores in Solihull ... both were out of stock, but one had them at 24.95 and the other had them at 8.73 !!!0 -
Im happy most off u got them .....good stuff :T0

Just been to my local store & the price came up as £24,i had my email from argos with todays date on & £8.73 price so the woman phoned head office & they said i would have to pay the £24 price, i wasnt having this so got her to phone the R&R line she came back 5 mins later with the manager & i got them for £8.23, i think the fact my e-mail had todays date on along with the R&R price sorted for me so keep trying.

Went to pay for my reserved pair in Cresent Link store, Derry, price came up as £24. Went to customer services, they phoned head office who said price was £24 since 19/07. I explained that today's r&r price was £8.73 and I had a website printout from the 20/07 showing £8.73. No joy, asked for number to complain to and was just told to ring that!!!
Of course I did, but I was on the mobile and lost the signal half way through the conversation. Guess I'll give it another go tomorrow.

Phoned up today to see if mine had come into the Great Yarmouth store - was told they were in and the price was £24. Asked to speak with the manager whom I had reserved them with over the phone originally as the Argos site was down at the time. He said that they had gone back up to £24 from this morning. Argued that I knew other people who had only paid £8 today and also that I had the printout of the £8 price. Eventually he backed down and said that as long as I picked them up by 5.00pm tonight, he would overide the price and give them to me for the original cost. I'm not sure why he is able to do this and some other stores wont - I think it is just a lottery and how friendly the manager is at the time!something missing0

This is disgraceful on the part of Argos. At the end of the day, it £8.73 on the website and ring & reserve, so they should honour that price, or change it on all of their systems!

The fight continues...........
I've rung customer services and stated my case, especially since the r&r price is still £8.73.
I've been advised to go to the local store and discuss with the local store manager, as they cannot make a decision.
Will pay a visit at lunchtime, but I'm not optimistic.
