Spanky & Zaphod or anybody for that matter how are you picking these up with no probs with the price? They came up at £24.95 for me and they said "the price you pay etc etc etc!"

The price on the website is still £8.73 so i dont know why you are being charged £24, ask them to check the website.

That didnt work for me. I took a print out she disappeared for a few minutes then said she had been advised the price you pay is the price instore on the day etc. I cant find it on the site anymore by just searching for it normally its only through the link that it appears. I guess i just got a miserable manager.

Gouryella, phone the reservation line and see how much you're quoted on there. Explain that they are clearance and should be £8.73. If that doesn't work, get them to phone head office.

I checked on the web - still showing £8.73. Inspired by the above posts, I marched back into Argos, moaned that several others had got it at that price and demanded that the Manager view the website. It came up at 'Today's Price £8.73' which quietened him down a bit, and after some waffle about problems with promotions, he agreed to sell it me for that price since it was still being advertised. :j

Just took the copy of the reservation page from the net into gosport Argos and handed in to the till

Incidentally, the Manager said they received 4 in stock yesterday, all of which were reserved within half an hour.
I've advised him to expect another 3 unhappy customers later today.

Right just tried the ring and reserve number and was quoted £8.73 for todays instore price. I guess i should make a trip back. Thanks for the replies.

All I did was ring and reserve this morning and went straight into collect them.

Seriously, to anyone having problems, get the manager to ring head office, as these aren't on promotion. They are clearance items, hence them being £8.73.
