    Morning all!

It's not half term here in East Sussex yet.... still have a week to go!

Am off to the Creative Stitches and Hobbycrafts fayre at the Brighton Centre today, really looking forward to that one. Tomorrow I'm off for lunch with two of my friends, should be a lovely one. We are also popping to the shops as unfortunately I need new work clothes.

Great news this week as we've managed to knock our electric bill right down and have had a rebate, so we are knocking some extra off the debts and putting the rest towards our flooring fund. My £1 a day is going well-noticed the pot was getting very heavy and when I commented to OH I found out it was because he has been putting any stray £1 coins in it, hehe. Think we'll need a bigger pot.....

When I get back tomorrow I'll be baking and meal planning, and doing a bit of crafting as I have joined a swapping website (it's very fun and addictive) and have swaps to mail out.

    Have a great weekend :)

  • Morning everyone! A frosty day here in Yorkshire, but very sunny, so the washing is on the line already (only about 10 million loads to follow!)

So far I have cleaned out part of the freezer, and done a meal plan for the rest of the week using what we have in - I realised whilst doing January's GC that I spend waaaay more on food that I thought, so that area is getting some real attention.

Popping to town this morning, then need to hoover throughout and change the bedding later. Right, off to start a thread asking for help - anyone know the best way to clean the wrought iron part of a hob?

    Have a super Saturday x

    morning all :j

beautiful bright and sunny day here, i have all of OH work clothes in to wash, will put them on the line later, I always wash them seperatly as the get so dirty and full of sawdust.

DD had her friend staying over, they had great plans to stay up ALL night watching films, but despite comsuming enough sweets and fizzy drinks to keep a small elephant going, they crashed and burned at 1 :D they are upstairs getting ready to go into town.

OH and I might go into town, its my birthday next month and I don't know what I want, so might have a mooch around the shops. Think I will treat us to lunch out as well ;) .

Got jacket spuds with cheese, ham, salad and bits for tea, DD will not eat jackets hates them  so will give her croquetts.

Hope you are all well, its not our half term till week after next either,

    Have good days all xx
  • Morning all! Already spent a couple of hours in the garden - beautifully sunny! I'm now making pancakes for the sleepover-girls, and have soup cooking in the Rayburn. I've made a double batch of pancakes, but at this rate there won't be any left for me and DH

Off ceilidh dancing later - can't wait.

    Enjoy your weekend, Penny. x

  • Good Morning Everyone

Its cold and frosty here too. Sat infront of the fire with my snuggle blanket :)
DW is ready to empty and i have 2 loads of washing to do. Not in any rush though as its half term here next week :) Bet i wont be smiling after the first 2 days ;)

My ears are still ringing today .. Yesterday my house alarm decided it was going to arm itself. Set itself off and ignore my reset code !! Well i rang adt and they said it would go off after 20 minutes so i sat (fingers in ears waiting) after an hour i could take it no more and took 2 towels covered in sellotape and stuck it to the inside alarm bell :) It was abit quieter :) DH came home and took the alarm to pieces taking the internal battery out too :) But my ears are still ringing today (Well after 4.5 hours of very loud alarm bells i am not surprised ) Lesson learnt - once you take an adt alarm off contract if you need someone to come out its £130 !! Good job i am home all the time so house alarm not really desparately needed, But i am in hospital for ?? on 18th so hopefully DH can have a look at it and fix it before then

((Hugs)) to anyone who needs or wants one

Hope everyone has a great weekend

the sun is out and shoning away here although still really cold. just fed the cats and they are sitting on the windowsill wondering if its warm enough for them to venture out yet.

it was oh moms funeral yesterday and it went really well, she had a horse drawn carriage and it was absolutely beautiful. she was 84 years and went all through the war in the factories making the gun turrets. she had 8 kids and every single one of them is now happily married with kids of their own so she was a fantastic mother and we will really miss her.

today ive got to clean my house up, iron ect, and drop dd off at a 13th birthday party at 7pm till 11pm at a social club, does anyone else think this is rather late for a 13th birthday party because i certainly do, dont kids have normal partys anymore.?

hope evryone has a good day and HUGS to all who need them xxxx
