Had a reply to my letter threatening legal action. They said the vouchers are their final offer. I sent another letter this time claiming for the second undelivered item. Once the 14 days on that run out I will send in my small claims court form.0

I have just received 50.00 in vouchers from B&Q for mess up with climbing frame.
I was lucky though and did get a climbing frame through constant harrasment of the resolutions department.0 -
i'm pretty sure that Sam Stray (who was my contact at B&Q) has been made redundant, she hasn't responded to my legal letter and her voicemail says that she is away until 7th September, has anybody else heard from her ?0

If the answer phone says she is away untill 7th Sept she should be there to take your calls by now. Sam Stray was never my contact with B&Q although I know that many others have dealt with her. Both my letters from B&Q are signed by Sarah Osborne (Mrs).
The 14 days are up tomorrow for the letter my solicitor sent them. My solicitor is out of his office untill tomorrow so I am hoping to hear something from him then. I do hope he has some good news.
How many others are still chasing this up?0 -
Still chasing, forms gone off to court last week so now in 'wait and see' position.Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.0

You are ahead of me then Jason. Mine will not go to court if I get a reasonable settlement by the 14 day deadline. I cannot see that happening myself. So will not be far behind you with the court case.
Good Luck!0 -
I'm still chasing it all up, but like most not getting much joy, I sent back their vouchers by RD and coppied the letter of complaint to kingfisher CEO. I got back another letter with another £20 in vouchers (full and final etc.) from the person (Ms Mendes) who I had just written to to say no way! This was followed by a phone call from a scottish lady, Janet, who called to tell me I wasn't getting anything (again). Silence when asked why others were.
Since then I have received a letter from Chief execs office at B & Q saying case reviewed dealt with properly! and a letter from Kingfisher saying my previous letter sent to B & Q. I still intend to pursue them, I guess the next thing is to send a letter to demand they supply the goods... All advise welcomed!* Practice Random kindness and senseless acts of beauty *0 -

Me niether, was told I was being refunded weeks ago, which I've finally got today, but have recieved no vouchers (not that i'd except them mind) I have also wrote 2 letters of complaint to B&Q with no response to either  I know i'm a dreadful letter writer at times and no doubt they took one look, laughed and threw it in the bin
I know this is a bit cheeky of me, but could anyone please give me any tips or advice on getting my letter noticed and replied to, I would appreciate it so very much

I rang the French Manufacturers of the Mont Blanc and McKinley playcentres who are Soulet (the details were in an earlier posting on this forum but anyway the phone number to France is still 020 8592 3366) and they said they had Mont Blanc in stock but it was only available to B&Q, I could not order directly from them.
I was told the person in charge of B&Q's stock is Francois Boureau so I wrote to Kingfisher Group returning my £20 vouchers and asked them to contact him and then make arrangements to deliver me a Mont Blanc then I would re-pay the £171.26 + £10 delivery they had returned against my wishes. Also, Kingfisher have a company Castorama (also mentioned in an earlier posting on this forum) that are still advertising a McKinley playcentre for 999 euros albeit with a different name.
http://www.castorama.fr/boutique/sku/sku.jhtml?elementId=Casto601348&productId=CastoJA0302&_requestid=251983
David Bott of B&Q's chief executive office replied this morning saying 'Refunds being made where stock is not available or suitable alternatives cannot be sourced' and also, no further vouchers etc. were offered - but Castorama are still advertising what I believe is a suitable alternative and they are part of Kingfisher Group?
I think I'm going to the small claims court but wondered if anyone had ordered a Mont Blanc and then was offered or recived a McKinley instead?
Also, does anyone know if I could take Kingfisher Group to court (as they own both B&Q and Castorama) or will I have to fight it out with B&Q instead?0
