I've just found this site and wondered if anyone is still collating people's details for the breached contracts - if so, I will send my details in but who do I send them to?

Also, is there a time limit to returning the vouchers as I've had mine for a couple of weeks now but will be sending them back first thing Monday.

(I ordered a Mont Blanc and was offered a Matterhorn instead and then was told neither was in stock so they returned my money with £20 vouchers).

Have heard on the news this morning that B&Q are making 400 redundancies at their HQ and are blaming a downturn in the economy and that people just aren't buying things from them.

Top tip for B&Q. When you sell stuff, make sure you deliver it, don't lie to the consumer and mess them about. You are not the only DIY shop in town and when pushed, the consumer will seek alteratives.

I'm not wollowing in the staff who have lost their jobs (as it will probably some hard working admin staff and cleaners rather than the real cuplrits), but I find it annoying that B&Q can in effect, blame Tony Blair, for their loss of staff - when, they should be looking much closer to home. If they really wanted to buck the trend, they should be listening to us disgruntled customers and learning from it, improving matters and then, like a miracle, they'll be making money again.
Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.

I've still had no reply to my e-mails sent 5 weeks ago & then 1 week ago. Rang to see why I hadn't had a refund & no apology just got told I had received £20 voucher weeks ago (which I hadn't!). Was told a refund could take 30 days. I have already waited over 6 weeks. Again no apology, basically hard luck! I just can't believe the total incompetence of B & Q! I am starting to wonder if they will ever allow be a refund for the table tennis they failed to deliver, let alone any vouchers.
  • Same here Mum25...no vouchers rec'd. I have had one letter of apology, which was in respect to my first letter of complaint, but no vouchers, or any refund.

I have written again last wekk and await a reply. This time I have given them till mid sept then I am going to small claims.

Just about to send off a letter to them issuing a 14 day notice or small claims too. Also stated that vouchers will not be accepted or returned.

Glad to hear that some people haven't given up on this. I too am waiting for a response to a letter I sent B&Q (Special Delivery, of course!).

Haven't heard anything back from Watchdog, guess they aren't interested in the story :(
  • DH sent another letter to HQ as we never got a written repsonse to the first one.
