Received my £20 of vouchers last week after I sent them a complaint letter (I will be sending them back) but as per B & Q not knowing what anybody else in the office is doing, today I have received another £20 of vouchers!!!! Might keep one lot (they prob won't even notice) and send the others back recorded delivery politely telling them no thanks!!!0

What is DH? Our lawyer at work says no purchase is necessary - just evidence of the additional costs involved.0 -
Well despite me instructing B&Q not to provide a refund, or send me £20 in vouchers that they offered me on the phone last week, on Friday, the refund appeared in my account, and yesterday morning vouchers arrived in the post.
I guess thats it for me on this....cant say ive done that badly, 2 out of 3 products I ordered, I got.
Kind of ironic that the vouchers they send are for the actual store, not the website, which diy.com go to some lengths to say they are different to.0 -
B&Q have refunded me also even though i have repeatedly asked them not to. They will be sending me a replacement to one of my two items sometime during september. But I am no where near finished with them. I ordered two items and i ordered them when they were in stock, they have lied to me repeatedly and i'm not going to let them get away with that. I hope that everyone else feels as strongly about thus as i do.0

Trading standards officer. As has been said by someone a long time ago in the thread you'll get conflicting advice from Trading standards officers, but he cannot see why you would have to purchase an identical item elsewhere and then fight for the costs. But someone else on here was told by another officer they'd have to buy an item.
It's ridiculous really!:rudolf:0 -
just got robs e-mail, the trading standards man. he says not good news.
do we know how many people are still fighting B&Q or have a lot of people given up and took the £20???Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0 -

I don't know how many have given up.
The route we are going to take is small claims court.:rudolf:0 -
Mine is going to small claims also. If we are fighting on our insurance policies what have we got to lose?
Thanks to Rob for trying to help us via Hampshire Trading Standards.0 -
I haven't given up.
I am still waiting for them to reply to my letter telling them that
they had 14 days to settle this to my satisfaction otherwise I will be
taking it further. Just wondered if anyone has heard back from
watchdog as they are back on air next week?0 -
With reference to Legal proceedings. Which address are people going to send the proceedings and are they fileing against B+Q or Kingfisher.0
