  • How come B&Q have suddenly managed to source more stock when they have previously said that they cannot get any more?
Is it coincidence that some are getting calls to offer them their orders or alternatives with the articles in the computer weekly & the Mirror just published? Are they trying to show that they are finally doing something to rectify their mistake? I think not. I think they are merely giving another example of the complete administrative shambles they are in.

I wish all of you that have had recent promises from B&Q the very best of luck & hope that you get those orders. I would hate to see you all let down again.
  • I ordered the Multi-Gym at £36.75 and a Swing Set at £32.99 plus £5 postage total £74.74, same story as everyone else given delivery date etc, only received swing set, multi-gym out of stock although ordered on the 15th. Had my letter from B&Q saying that they were going to refund me £74.74 and enclosed £20 in vouchers, I thought great going to get my swing set, which I did receive, for free. Just checked my Bank Account and only £36.75 has been refunded, I know that is the correct amount but it wasn't what they said in their letter, do you think I have a case here as well!!! Thought they were giving me the swing set as compensation as well.

B&Q have now finally managed to find a matterhorn play centre for me from their magic new stock (probably made up of broken bits that people have returned). I think that they think because they have offered me this the matter with me is now closed...they are in for a big suprise.

Have been watching this thread for a while and have finally figured out how to post!! I bought both a McKinley and a Mont Blanc in B&Q Sale last year when they were only half price!! I thought I had a bargain!! But B&Q were of course rubbish and one of the boxes I supposed to receive never did. I spent weeks of my life fretting and hanging on the phone to B&Q. Finally they offered me £150 discount which I didn't want to accept as my total order had been £730. But then I contacted French manufaturers of the product (Soulet I think). They promised to send me the rope bridge I was missing FREE OF CHARGE!! Needless to say I was quickly back on the phone accepting B&Q's offer of discount, bit nails for a couple of days and then Voila!! rope bridge turned up. Guess we quickly spent the £150 on extra decking timber to complete/enhance play frame, but it is the bees knees now it is in the garden! I have since had a new computer but I guess I still have French company's e mail address on old comp (but unfortunately now upstairs in daughters bedroom and she is asleep!) If this e mail address would be of any use to anyone let me know and I will dig it out.

Anyway good luck to everyone still seeking satisfaction with B&Q!

If they haven't changed their contact details (and I wouldn't blame them if they had, even in French he sounded hacked off with B&Q last year!!!), then the telephone and e mail address for the Frenchmanufacturers of the McKinley and the Mont Blanc are as follows: 020 8592 3366 and fabien.chancelier@soulet.fr. This chap Fabien was the only helpful person in my whole harrowing experience!!! Might be helpful to those of you looking for alternative supply at a price to get comp from B&Q. Don't know whether these are same manufacturers for Matterhorn etc. as they are quite different play frames. Anyway hope it helps someone.
