No acknowledgement from B&Q in three weeks from the letter I sent recorded delivery!

This thread has gone VERY quiet. This weekend I finalised my Claims Form and will run it past the lawyer tomorrow before submitting to my local county court. Where is everyone else on this?
  • We've accepted £75 compensation after a call from B&Q last week. They rang and asked what would resolve the situation and offered DH £50, and he said no £75.
We don't have the time now to go through small claims, bu the very best to those of you who do!!!! I really hope you get a fantastic outcome and do come back and let us know!

I have the application pack in the house - just havent had the time to fill it in yet. If you have an electronic filled in copy - that would be a great help and time saver. Would also ensure consistency.

Definately going through with it - worth #250.....

Well.....B&Q have responded, and intend to defend the claim. Dont see what leg they have to stand on - but I guess if they just paid up - they would be setting a precedence!

Anyone know if I will be liable for B&Qs solicitor costs should B&Q win?

No under the small claims process you will not be liable. It is all set out in the documnets on the Courts Service website.
