Owing to legal reasons I am unable to provide much details but I have withdrawn my case at Barnet County Court. Suffice it to say I am very happy with the overall outcome but cannot go into further details. I suspect this may be the same for other posters who were due to go to court hence silence from them too. Thanks to all for the support from the thread.

Congratulations!

Assuming they have paid up your kids will have the play centre in the garden this summer, unfortunately 1 year later than hoped, but at least you will have it.

As for me, I decided to order a Kitchen from our friends at B&Q - I have had 2 deliveries and still have parts missing and now they say 6 weeks before they can arrange another delivery for me!

I don't suppose you have a decent contact at B&Q to make thinks happen?

I really should have kept away from them after the playcentre problems last summer...

Putting the financial aspect to one side it definitely was worth the hassle. I have learnt an awful lo about our legal system and how the legal system actually favours the individual consumer against the big company. It is really wonderful!

I am sure B&Q are going to be in for more fun and games over the next few weeks as this morning one of B&Q delivery centres burnt down this morning!

Interesting. In this case they would be able to get out of a contract though since their force majure clause will probably cover this scenario - unlike for their summer farce!
