    Congrats ranar :T

What time did you recieve you email confirmation on the 19th July? I got mine at 7:27am.
Did your credit card get instantly charged?
Did you have to chase up your order or did recieve a call and ask to give your credit card details over the phone?

Also was your order number earlier or later than the range 5786365 to 5786375 (Don't want to be too specific). ;)

    cheers,

Placed my order at around 7:10am on 19th July - received a confirmation mail (o/n: 578***) time stamped at 19 July 2005 06:27:59 - so something strange there.... Phone them a couple of days later - no order on system - over next couple of days I was assured I would be given one and eventually got phoned to supply credit card details again. Few days later I was phoned again and given a delivery date (new order number, not at hand now) - day later paperwork for the order arrived. Only thing is I have been charged £10 delivery, which they have assured me will get credited back.

Have a read of the following link concerning the (in)famous kodak offer.

    http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/news/feature.asp?Index=5265

It explains "Loss of bargain" with proper examples.

For people who had monies taken from their account, a contract seems likely to have been made. If you can find a supplier willing to supply the exact (possible very similar) goods, you possibly have a case.

ranar, have you missed a 6 out that order number. Was it 5786371 ?

If it was then it was the order number immediatly after mine (5786370) and my story sound exactly like yours, although I never recieved any paper work or delivery date.

    Interesting......

I ordered a multigym and a table football on the 16th around 11:30pm. The money was taken from my credit card the same day for £78.50.

I chased the order with their couriers 'deliver to door' or something like that on the following Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and finally on Thursday they said they had received the order from B&Q. The earliest delivery date they had would be the 1st August in my area. On the Friday before the Monday delivery they phoned to say they had no stock and the order would be cancelled!

I phoned the the 0800 given as B&Q by the couriers and had a go, as I know for sure people who ordered after me received their goods. They told me they were actually sub-contracted by B&Q. They gave me another number for B&Q head office who set up a customer complaint and gave me a reference number. After a few days I got a call offering £20 vouchers as a goodwill gesture, which I turned down.

They told me I would have to write in to take it further. What a load of hassle, time and money I’m wasting.......

I ordered mine after you and got mine delivered on the Friday they told you that they had no stock! There is something highly screwed up with their order processing!

I have now collated the details of everyone who has PM'd me their B&Q disaster stories. Thanks to everyone who took the time to do this, hopefully it will give us some extra people power.

I am halfway through writing a letter to a national woman's magazine who feature a consumer page, and shall be including all of these details accordingly. I am also writing a letter to the CEO's of B&Q and Kingfisher (and anyone else who is high up, and whose name I can find to add to my list!). I shall be detailing everything that is on this thread, and the information that people have PM'd me, and I am hoping that they will be able to come up with an explanation that actually makes sense, instead of the nonsense they have so far tried to feed us.

If anyone else wants to PM me their B&Q fiasco story so that I can include it in our campaign, please could you do so by the end of today, as I intend to send the letters out tomorrow. I shall be up until just after midnight, so that's the deadline!
