The more people who email hampshire trading standards, the more likely they'll actually contact B&Q about the situation, and maybe something positive will come out of it?

So....I have been away for a week - whats the latest!!??? From reading the replies - dont sound like their Monday meeting was worth waiting for!

Have we definately confirmed the table tennis table is available elsewhere, and is the exact same product?

If so....then its the small claims court for me - and I urge you all to do so rather than kep hanging around and wasting time with B&Q.

Unless i am mistaken Section 51 of the Sale of Goods Act - Damages for non delivery states that the measure of damages is ascertained by the difference between the contract price and the current price of the goods at the time when they ought to have been delivered. I doubt very much that B&Q will be able to get the item i ordered for the price that i paid so it looks like it may get expensive for them.

Small claims here i come.

Quick update for everyone who has PM'd me. I received quite a few extra details from people today, so have delayed sending the letters of complaint off until I have incorporated these details. I think the larger our numbers, the more leverage we have. Rest assured that first thing Monday morning, I shall be making a trip to the post office to get things posted off.

I am not going to put too much detail on here in case of B&Q spies - call me paranoid (no really, I don't mind lol!) but I think it's best not to let them know exactly what we're doing until we're just about to grab them by the proverbials.

I also want to thank CaitlinsNanna, who has kindly offered to help me in getting everything done. She has already given me a few pointers on our legal standing in this matter. So, I guess all we can do now is watch this space...

And don't forget, send any measly vouchers they may post out to you back to them, with a letter saying that their offer of 'compensation' is not accepted, they have to do better.

has any one got a duplicate box for the Matterhorn Wooden Play Centre ?
I was one of the lucky few to have one delivered, however two out of the 6 packages are identical. PM if you think we could do a swap..... Apprently B&Q cannt match us up !! They have offerd to remburise me if I go and buy the bits my self ..

I've been informed that if people email the trading standards aswell, apprently, if the issue is large enough trading standards *could* take action under the enterprise act.
