So is it the people who had money taken from their credit cards and then refunded, the only ones who stand an outside chance of a resolution.
I ordered my playcentre on two occasions online and had two seperate order confirmation emails (each time the orders were ... lost?) - As well as giving my credit card details over the phone to have an order manually placed.
I haven't noticed any money being taken from my credit card and nothing looks out of place on my online statement. So all I have to go on is the email order confirmation and the fact that I was called on Monday to say I wouldn't be getting my order.
Am I wasting my time with this one?0 -
Yes I am in the same boat. I rang my c card company on 20/7 and checked that a transaction for £146 for the Ben Nevis had gone through. They confirmed it had gone through on 18/07, which was when I ordered.
I just thought I'd ring back to see if I'd had a refund yet, and they are now telling me there is no such original transaction on 18/07 showing. AAAAHHHHHHHHH! Is this a conspiracy against me between B&Q & my c card company?!!!!!!
If this Chief Execs meeting this afternoon is happening maybe we should just wait & see what the outcome is....mind you we've all waited for the last few weeks already for nothing so I wont hold my breath!0 -

Sorry W1zz, when speaking to B&Q I didn't ask about this particular sinario. I don't think you are wasting your time at all. I would tempt fate by suggesting that they are desperately looking to resolve *everyones* issues.
We will have to wait for the outcome of the meeting though before we will know anything else.0 -

I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, however I felt confident that at least the top bods were now aware of the enormity of this issue.
I questioned the words 'fulfil the orders' that were spoken to me and I did get the impression that that was what they were hoping to do one way or another.
I also passed on the fact that Plum were still producing so there was no excuse !
We must now just wait and see I feel....0 -

Wasn't doubting that you were passing on the exact info you were told, just that B&Q seem to have the art of fobbing off down to a tee! If your call makes B&Q do something about this then we all owe you a drink!

I am now composing an e-mail to send in to The Sun newsdesk. Hopefully they will agree to run a story on this - even if it's just a couple of paragraphs, at least we will be getting our views put forward for everyone to see!0

The top bods have known since the start.
I went through to chief execs office on the 26th July. Another person who said would look into and call back but never did.
I have just missed a call from someone though from HQ. When I called back I was told he was on lunch even though sat in the office while the girl told him I was returning his call.Told he would call me back after 2.
So I have to hang around now while he eats his big fat lunch!!!!
He did say on message he was calling me to see how issue could be resolved!
Easy give me a playcentre to replace the one I sold 2 weeks ago when they confirmed my order.
I dont care if its not a Ben Nevis Just something please.0 -

I have sent them an e-mail with the link to the first page of this thread in. I have told them that I think hundreds of people have been let down by B&Q on this issue, and that I hope they can at least help us to get our story told.
I also said that there were plenty of people here, myself included, who would be quite happy to confirm their stories about this fiasco to them.
Here's hoping they will pick this up and run with it. I figured it was worth a try - nothing ventured, nothing gained!0 -

I was assured that I would get a call back after the meeting. Asked if that would be later today, I was told that it was more likely to be in the morning.
I really have no reason to doubt that I won't get a call back. I have been given this persons direct number if not. I hope you understand that I would prefer not to publicise this for fear of jeopardising anything just yet. Rest assured if the meeting doesn't bring satisfactory results then I'll let you all know !
I know what the CS team are like when it comes to calling people back but these more senior folk seem a little more professional to say the least !0 -
Had my call from HQ - Was told the same meeting being held to see what resolve. Supplier problem. cannot promise would be getting climbing frame.
Advised I know I am getting one but bits will be missing. He said not aware that frames were being delivered not complete.
He said he has got the info to read this site.. I think it will be a real eye opener to the very poor service that they offer customers. This has escalated due to their lack of internal communication and constant lies.0
