    W1zz - i complained via phone although it's taken about v10 phonecalls. My next step is letters.
  • We originally ordered the Mont Blanc as most of the others were listed as sold out, this was on the 15th. I am not sure if we are getting the Mont Blanc or possibly the Matterhorn. I suppose we will have to wait and see

    I have been following this thread since returning from holiday on mon. I too ordered the MB on the 15/07 and the delivery date was set for today. Until i got the dreaded phone call yesterday.. the lady offered us the matterhorn then said it too was not avail, since then we've had the refund only line. I last talked to b&q HQ at 1600 today absolutely no help what so ever. Talking to a solicitor tomorrow, will post any useful information.
    The whole fiasco shouldn't really surprise me as I've previously tried to get B&Q to honour their in store price promise.....

    I got the wooden climbing frame. I ordered it on 15 July & it was delivered a week ago. I haven't got the table tennis set I ordered though.

    My Ben Nevis arrived today. :D

    I had ordered on Mon 15th.
    Got phone call Thurs 18th to say awaiting further deliveries.
    Then phoned on Tues 26th to say it was back in stock and gave my credit card details.

    Not quite finished putting it up yet!!
    Had to make a trip to :p B&Q :p for a socket wrench spanner thingy.

    I phoned plum this morning to ask how many tttables were in stock( I've been informed they are the same model) and was told x amount were in stock - not sure if I can say how many but it was a drop in the ocean!! B & Q emailed them yesterday and asked similar question.

    So also phoned Sharon- stroppy moo who told me plum were lying & that anyone on this site who claimed to have had more than £10 compo were also lying. I replied a bit like b&q with selling thier products then when they didn't have any stock!!!!!
    Don't waste your time with this woman.

    Also phoned pip she is b&q's press officer and all she can do is pass on details .Pls don't hassle her as v. nice helpful lady!!(She called me back straight away)

    Another call!! Pip gave me ccare direct no 08456096688 which I called & spoke to Jane Fabulous woman!! Very nicely told me to ring 01302 764 286 - for customers not satisfied with refund, as they may & only may have more stock which they didn't. She had asked me to call back if no luck which I did and spoke Sarah ( I think sorry)v.nice person told her what plum had said and asked if these could be acquired so as to please a few customers or even to promise those who'd not received items to be able to have them next season at the same price. She said these thoughts were all being considered and someone would call back today.

    Jo did a few hours later ( vv.nice person) & said they are reaching a final outcome by close of business monday so if I wanted to wait till then I could or still go ahead with refund, so I said I'm happy to wait...................with baited breath!!

    I dread to think what I've spent in phonecalls , some have even been on my mobile!!

    Good luck everyone and dont give up , my wavy slide and gym was delivered last week seems im one of the lucky ones.

    I originally ordered a swing/slide set, and have just had a call from "Rob" who advised me that I would still not be getting the item, just a refund.

    I've requested a letter stating their position and will be taking it further.

    This "resolution" after umpteen calls from me. Pathetic customer service, and my 5 year old lad is still really upset! :mad:

    There's a large B&Q near me which I (used to) frequent and spend lots of money in.

    Instead, I will now be going to the Wickes store (100 yards farther away) and giving them my business and cash - which will be substantial, as i have an entire house and garden to do up at the moment.

    Say goodbye (permanently) to a regular, high spending customer B&Q :wave:
