You sure can tell it's holiday times when the trolls appear!

I had an email from B&Q today, it said:-
I refer to your e-mail addressed to our Chief Executive, concerning the purchase of a multi gym, which has been passed for our attention.
Naturally I was very concerned to learn of the problems that you have experienced and have arranged for the matter to be investigated, and for you to be contacted shortly.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for bringing this matter to our attention and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience that you have been caused.
Yours sincerely
Sarah-Jane Winters

It makes it sound like I am the only one who has complained!!!!!
Can't wait until I hear what they have to say.0 -
I posted my complaint letter to the CEO recorded delivery yesterday. So I guess it'll be sat on her desk Monday.

At 19.40 on a Friday evening I think we can all safely assume that B & Q will not be issuing a statement on this thread today, (unless of course they are working overtime) so I guess the next we are likely to hear any more from them will be Monday.
My email from them yesterday did say-
"When these investigations are complete we intend to contact all
customers who have orders again to advise them of our intentions. We
expect to do this by the close of business on Monday 8th August"
Let's see if they stick to this promise.
Looking forward to hearing from them0 -
VanDeretto wrote:As the original poster on this thread, I am really sorry to hear of the problems so many of you are having.
I received a Plum 500e table last Thursday, having ordered it on the 15th July (same day as my post).
It came with 4 bats and 4 orange balls.
Hope everyone gets their tables or at least substantial compensation from B&Q.
Good luck!!
I thought this may help anyone else who's not had the t-t table. Looks like they're being delivered with 4 balls, not the 6 that B&Q said.
I'm really dissapointed that there's no statement -I spent 25min on the phone to 'Tim' from the Chief Exec's Office yesterday, which seems to have been a complete waste of my time. Everything he had promised has not materialised and now I feel even more wound-up!
Has anyone had any response from the media yet? I'm planning to up the anti on Monday, any new suggestions? Thought perhaps everyone could send the link to this website to all their e-mail contacts and get some kind of disgust petition on the go (?) Probably a bit difficult to co-ordinate but am so fed-up that I'm prepared to try anything!0 -
I still have not had any phone calls from anybody regarding the Ben Nevis. No delivery dates (in my dreams) and no call to say tough luck here's your money back.
I called to chase the order a few days ago and was told they have no order for me? Twice before they found my order, reassuring me I definatley had one reserved!? but now my order has vanished.
The annoying (bored) girl advised me that as she couldn't find me it is very likely that they have refunded my payment and that' it. B***H!
Head office here I come. I didn't authorise a payment so I want them to have it back.
Does anybody know any credit card rulings as to what we can do do resend a payment back?

Another mysterious vanishing order!
Have you kept a copy of the Email confirmation of your order?
I have put mine in to a seperate folder so as not to delete them accidently & have printed off copies fo them.
Sorry I can't help with your credit card query.
When I spoke to trading Standards last week the lady did say that if the orders were paid with credit cards that you could claim any loss from the CC company. Not sure how far you could go down that route as I never went into it with her too deeply. It works the same way as buying something with your CC to find that it's faulty & then claim back from them.
I wonder how many actually do do that?0 -
I have saved everything to do with them, I also have a B&Q folder. Whether my payment was returned or not, I am going as far as I can purely because of the insulting way we have all been treated.
I have a hopeful feeling that as so many of us are taking it to the extreme (and rightly too) that maybe, just maybe we will get a result we are happy with.
This time next year maybe?0
