I dount if you'll get anything in writing from B&Q as that will only incriminate themselves.
I've sent two letters two them, recorded next day and still have had no response, no calls, no emails. I'm feeling left out here because at least everyone else seems to be getting phone calls, even if it is bad news.Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.0 -
Am I imagining things? Weren't all the Play Centres on diy.com 'Sold Out'
The Matterhorn and Wooden Castle Play Centres are now displaying as 'Temporarily Out of Stock'.
Although the Matterhorn's price is:
Was £799.00
Only £799.00 <---
Does this indicate the possibility of more stock - Or have I just been spending too much time looking at the diy.com web site.

oooh you're right.
how bizarre:rudolf:0 -
I've been let down too. Ordered my swing and slide set 19/7, money taken 20/7. Called 22/7 to ensure all ok with order. Received a phone call last week to tell me it would be delivered today. Last night at 5.50 got a call telling me order was cancelled and I needed to call B&Q CS. Rang this morning was told item went out of stock a few days ago and has been discontinued as the supplier has stopped making them even tho B&Q do not want to stop stocking them !! I am awaiting a call back and am trying to catch up on this thread whilst my lively 20 month old runs riot emptying all her draws!
Anyone able to give me a brief outline as to where we are regarding rights (loss of bargain etc), compensation etc etc (am not lazy dont want to have to retrieve entire contents of daughters room from stairs where she is happily throwing them lol)0 -
Just had delivery van turn up 'Without prior notice' to pick up the Tyre & Rope accessory that at the moment isn't any good to me.
Luckily I warned my other half that if this happened, she should tell the driver that it's in the back of my car (I'm at work) and if they'd have given prior notice, as I was told they would, the items would have been available for collection.
TBH, I want to hold onto the tyre until we have a definitive answer from B&Q HQ about the Ben Nevis I ordered. Don't want to send the tyre back only to be told that I may (fingers crossed) be getting one.
Things were looking good late yesterday after the 'exec meeting' but people are still being told it's a no go.
Are we awaiting an official statement from B&Q today?

Why are some people getting phone calls and emails while some of us are receiving no contact at all. If it wasn't for this site I would still be unaware of all the developments and not responding to my Emails is highly annoying.0

One good thing has come out of this B&Q mess, and that is I have found this site via a nice lady on UKP. I have spent hours trawling though various forums the past few days and have picked up lots of tips thanks everyone.0

All gone a bit quiet today!!!
No phone calls no B&Q statement put on the site
Do you think they were trying to fool us yesterday? just to keep us quiet for a day or two, buying some time.0 -
hmm was wondering about the statement.
I reckon it was going to be a "we've done all we can, so on and so forth" type thing anyway, and not satisfactory for anyone:rudolf:0 -

Not sure if it's worth holding onto W1zz. Mine is getting sent back for a refund as the rubber has torn around the area where the rope joins to the tyre.
It's been up a week and it rained for 2 days of that so 5 year old daughter (who is tiny and smaller than average for her age) only actually played on the frame for 5 days and even then it was mostly on the slide, lol.
If it's torn within a few days, I think it would be unusable within a month or two.
Hopefully I was just unlucky with mine and not all of the tyres will be like this, worth noting though.Herman - MP for all!0
