Did B&Q log your complaint on the phone as they wouldn't with me. I told them I had a very disappointed little boy and all they could say was sorry nothing we can do. Told me they were sold out of all playcentres.

My garden isn't big enough to take advantage of any of the big offers, unfortunately. I did order a cheap slide at the weekend, though, and had a phone call today to say that it was being delivered next Wednesday.

I'm stunned at how one person is being offered an alternative while another is being told there is no alternative! It's ridiculous! :mad:
And for the phone person to tell you our being offered the matterhorn is hearsay! :rotfl: :mad:

Edit; Just spoke to B&Q'd customer service (pah!) and told them that I have noted that others have been offered the same price, the somewhat stern and surly response was "well that's just hearsay" :rotfl: So, a complaint has been logged.

I didnt have to say anything the lady on the phone offered it as an alternative and said it would be the same price.. Her name was Christina L (cant remeber the surname)...

Hi, thought I'd wait until I received my confirmation by phone of the delivery of a table tennis table before I post my thanks. It's scheduled for next Friday, so will hopefully have some budding Olympians by 2012!!

I ordered the Ben Nevis on the 20th 1st thing in the morning - received a confirmation email from diy.com confirming my order and giving order number. After reading the previous posts I called my voicemail service - there was a message from Christina @ diy.com telling me order had been cancelled as the item had been discontinued and they had no other playcentres in stock! End of Story - sent them off a stroppy email. Need to get thinking cap on now for sons 4th birthday!! :mad: :eek:

Ordered my Mont Blanc on Saturday 16th July and recieved confirmation email straight away. Didn't hear anything else until B&Q rang yesterday to say it would be delivered on Wednesday. Thanks again OP.

looks like the bargain is now over.. as all items are showing 'Sold Out' and not just 'Temporarily Out of Stock' ...
