Glad you have been offered something I also ordered on wed am but have been told there is no alternative to offer me, complained to customer service Fri but have yet to hear anything. I have also wrote a letter in, hope you get one. This is really frustrating and definatly not the best advert for B&Q lots of v unhappy mse members. Still I suppose if I put into perspective what has been happening in London, it really is just a climbing frame and I suppose there is more to life to worry about. Still very annoying though good luck and keep us posted.

I was most upset to have missed out on these fantastic playcentre bargains as I have 3 young sons, however, I am slightly consoled as I have just come back from B&Q with a 75% off bargain:

A large wooden sandpit with sun canopy, which goes down to make a cover when not in use. It was originally £49.99, but is now £12.25 in store - bargain!

I just called my local B&Q to ask if they have any sandpits instore and they said you have to order them online.I explained to the young girl it is insTore only..She then said I need to come into the store to make a special order.Why can't they order it over the phone as it was my local store anyway???I can't get there today so I hope I can still get one tomorrow..

I've just spoken to Kristeena on the 0870 no. Mr Jools thinks this is hilarious - he reckons all I do all day is talk about B&Q & I think the money I saved on the playcentre has now been spent in phone calls!

Anyway, she told me the orders have now been colour coded - mine is blue which means I should be getting my Ben Nevis. She said she thought it was going to be her job to ring us all up later today, but the managers that are sorting all this out are not starting work until 10am. So if thats true, dont bother sitting by your phone for the next couple of hours.

I got quite excited when she told me I'd been allocated one, but then this is B&Q, so I wont believe it until it is in my garden!

I was told on Friday that I'm to expect a phone call after 11am today, fingers crossed that they haven't lost the scrap piece of paper that they call their ordering system :rotfl:

Well I have sold my sons ELC climbing frame. Put on ebay as soon as my order was comfirmed Monday someone placed a bid straight away, so they better call as I am not in the good books with my 8 year old!! I was told Friday I have been allacated one,but one what I do not know.

Fresh air at this rate!

phoned up local store and asked about the sandpits, they did not have any and she said i would have to come in to order. talked her round in to pretending i was in the store and she tried to order it for me and it olny tells you no stock after you have entered all your details. so they can not order in so its a case of ringing round each store and seeing if they have one.

Yes I too have promised our swing & slide away - luckily only to friends but I'll stilll feel rotten if I have to tell them they cant have them now! More worringly after I had confirmation & my money was taken, I showed the picture of the play centre to my 4 yr old so now she's waiting for it to arrive.

Bet the poor woman at B&Q who has been given the job of making all these phone calls is going to be pleased when her home time comes!
