Sorry for double posts ! Don't know where is best ! ;)
    From http://www.plumproducts.com/enquiries.htm

'Don't forget, you can buy online at Playcentres.com, TrampolineCentre.com and BBQcentre.com.'

    From http://www.playcentres.com/acatalog/index.html

Indoor Table Tennis Table - Price: £259.99 (Including: VAT at 17.5%)

Looks the same to me ! Seems like Plum are still manufacturing them then if they are telling us to buy from the above suppliers !

Bit !!!!!! off now that B&Q have refunded my money to my account DESPITE me stating that I wouldn't agree to a refund until I was satisfied !! Where do I stand now ?
  • I have just noticed this thread so this is a duplicate post from the B + Q 75% thread. Sorry but it seems relevent to both.

I have just been on the phone to someone at Plum. They are very much of the feeling that they are being made out to be the scapegoats here. What I have asked them to do is to let me know if the table tennis table being sold on their website is the same as the one on the B + Q website. Plum don't have a problem with anyone placing an order with them for this item, and even said that B + Q could place an order if they wish. For the "Loss Of Bargain" experts out there could you confirm my belief that if Plum confirm that they only make one outdoor table tennis table and it is the same one supplied both to their wholesale customers and their retail customers that we can go ahead and buy the tables from Plum and win "Loss of Bargain" cases.
Plum are wondering what they can actually say without annoying B and Q as they have a massive contract with them and it looks like B and Q are putting a lot of pressure on Plum.

I am waiting on a call back from Plum to see if they can confirm all tables being the same. They did tell me that the model they sell is a 500E.

I have just noticed that in post 449 STRAWB mentions that he received a 500E. Anyone else confirm this.

I have just had Plum called back and they know that B + Q are acting like complete toads. They have actually issued a release to B + Q to be put into stores stating that this is not plums fault. Yesterday B and Q called me to say that they were refunding the money on my card because there was no way that they could find out when they could get any more tables. Plums agreed that if they ever gave a stock availability report like that to B an Q, their biggest customer, B and Q would rip up the contract on the spot.

The only downside is that Plum say that they sell the 500E with 4 balls and B and Q apparently sell with 6. He couldn't elaborate on that so I don't know if this is the legal loophole that B and Q have decided will get them out of Loss of Bargain suits. Anyone who has received the table counted their balls lately?

    ***STOP PRESS***

B&Q Chief Exec meeting taking place at 3.00 pm today to see how B&Q can quote 'fulfil' these orders !

Those like me that have had monies refunded would have orders re-instated at original price.

Not likely to hear outcome of meeting until tomorrow....

Virtually read out the whole of this thread to her She promised to call me back today, just received the call !

Could I suggest that we ***DONT*** all hound the Chief Exec office today please ?

As the original poster on this thread, I am really sorry to hear of the problems so many of you are having.

I received a Plum 500e table last Thursday, having ordered it on the 15th July (same day as my post).

It came with 4 bats and 4 orange balls.

Hope everyone gets their tables or at least substantial compensation from B&Q.

    Good luck!!

    Bump.....

    Anyone started legal procedings yet.

B&Q's 14 days are up tomorrow - so small claims on Friday if no reply!
