    Told them that I will expect a B&Q representative to tell my 2 kids that their table isn't coming !!! Blooding typical that all this happens on a Friday afternoon. Guess they're all be fcking off home for a game of table tennis with the family.

  • We have had the same phonecall about the table tennis table this afternoon, and now they are saying that we are also not going to get the outdoor playcentre that we'd ordered, and was due to be delivered on monday along with the table tennis table. Its my sons birthday on monday, so i'm not impressed at all.

    Waiting to here back from them now - cant see it being today. Im not going to let this lay - they are out of order, and like you I am very bitter.

    I re-arranged delivery too - they called me to ask whether I could have delivery thursday (yesterday) but I said I wouldnt be able to take delivery on that day - so re-arranged for Monday. They said fine and end up calling one working day before.

    I now have the day booked off work too! Compensation is definately in order.

    Its really not my month this month!

    I have had this fiasco with B & Q.
    I ordered a 42" plasma from Tiny in June, and was expecting delivery in August - they are now in adminstration - but luckily it looks as though I am covered by my CC.
    Im biulding an extension on my house, and getting delays left righ and centre!!!

    Same here with the delivery date. Turned down Tuesday for Monday. Rather rudely agreed by B&Q customer services that it was indeed my fault that I'm not receiving the item because I chose to delay my delivery slot !!!

    We arent responsible for controlling their stock system! So much for B&Q's reputation!

    Think watchdog could be in order if other avenues fail!

    I was expecting delivery of the Table tennis set today,together with 5 other items. The 5 other items arrived but not the outdoor table tennis tennis set and there was no explanation for this. Not a phone call, nothing. I phoned B & Q Customer service only to be told that the Table Tennis table is out of stock. What does this mean as I bought an item that was in stock and for which I have fully paid 12 days ago. I am afraid this makes no sense to me at all. Without trying to be offensive, this is day light robbery of the highest order. I have ordered and paid for A+B . The delivery note shows that A+B has been delivered today and yet only B infact has been received. Over the phone customer service confirm that only B was sent but I have no documentary evidence to back this up anyway. I am advised to wait another 14 days for delivery of the table tennis set again nothing to corroborate this fact. I am happy to be part of group action against B&Q who up till now I thought were reasonable. I do not want my money back, just send me the table tennis set I ordered or its equivalent. And delivery would have to be at my convenience as I have already paid for a 14 day delivery which has not been fulfilled.

    It is rather ironic that I bought all the other items to soften the OH so that I could have my Table Tennis.

    I'll be happy to be a part of any legal action again B&Q but I suspect we may have to give them the opportunity to correct their mistakes first.

    After speaking ( RANTING ) to B&Q, I've been asked to wait until Monday to hear back from them regarding stock level. This despite us all knowing that there won't be anymore in stock on Monday !!

    I wouldn't have minded *so* much if I'd been advised from the start that my order didn't guarantee stock allocation or that my delivery date didn't guarantee delivery if the item wasn't in stock !

    The worse thing about all this is knowing that I would have had a table tennis table set up now if only I'd managed to be around for the original delivery date !!!

    My daughter is now crying having heard my conversations to B&Q ... :(

    same story here-ordered 15.7.05,credit card debited straight away + today told not getting table after call earlier saying del. was on mon. 1.8.05. :mad:

    Hopefully if enough of us get together on this B&Q, will back down. Bad publicity (if we wrote into watchdog, etc) would cost B&Q a lot more than compensating us.

    Argos are selling the same table for #399. I suggest they purchase from their competitors and supply these goods for the original price.
