Haven't taken delivery of it yet - its sitting in a depot in Coventry waiting for them to contact me with a delivery date.
Please check with your bank! The suspense is killing me! :silenced:

Any advice?
Yep,don't bother!!
A much better option is for e-value code d-d07511b.This,in it's basic form gives you a 15in flat panel, dual layer dvd writer,P4 3ghz HT cpu,512mb ram,80gb sata drive etc etc and if you play around with the settings you can get it for £410 delivered.
Then if you add a 17in flat panel (E173FP) instead of the 15,change the keyboard to "Dell wireless keyboard" and adjust the mouse to "mouse included in Logitech cordless desktop" (Yep,it's a c0ck-up on Dells website which allows you to put it through even though you're not actually ordering the Logitech set) - Changing to wireless keyboard and mouse actually knocks £9 off the total!! lol
You then end up with a P4 3ghz,17in flat panel,80gb sata drive,512mb ram, wireless keyboard/mouse and a dual layer dvd writer that costs £436 delivered!!
I've ordered 4 of these systems (On 2 seperate orders - The first of which is being delivered this Thursday) and with the £70 off it works out at a little over £400 per system.Complete bargain IMHO - I priced it up via the main Dell page ie without using the E-value code and I got it to £626
Good luck

Mine was ordered Monday and due for Delivery Thursday. If it comes on Thurs I'll be impressed!biglugs wrote:Just got in touch with Walsh Western about delivery and the EARLIEST delivery they are able to give me for my PC is Friday evening!! Typical - shipped from Ireland to England in less than 48 hours, and shipped from Coventry to Oxford in 5 working days!0 -
Unfortunately my bank say that because this is a foreign transaction (Dell are in Ireland) these can take DAYS to come thru on your credit card! Please check with your bank! The suspense is killing me!
I do know that Dell has reserved the amount for BOTH systems on my card (from the available balance) but don't know if they will just refund for the cancelled order, charge for just one order, or recalculate the correct cost for the Dimension order without the £70 discount. If they do I'll plead ignorance and see if that works - as they have taken the £70 discount off my order when I cancelled the laptop! You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -
WAHOOOO! Just checked with my bank and Dell has taken £233.80 from my credit card - the amount of my order for the Dimension 3000 only. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0

Thanks folks
Bought the D-D07302 Dim3000 desktop with the 17" flatscreen (£226) AND the N-N07605 15.4" Laptop (£370) delivered to Northern Ireland. Can't believe it...0 -
I purchased a Dimension PC for a friend and paid £392 for it before I saw the discount offer. I tried to cancel the order but it had already been dispatched. It arrived yesterday and I phoned to arrange a return.
Dell immediately offered me a 15% discount to keep it!!
They are ringing me back today to see what I have decided to do. Since I have already ordered a new PC and laptop on the offer I am not sure what to do. i could probably sell the original on but am hoping for a slightly better discount before I decideThe Daily Mail

Because Dell are offering £70.50 discount if you buy selected models costing in total more than £650. BUT there is a bug on their site and if you buy a Dimension AND a laptop then they are giving £70.50 discount off EACH machine. So you buy the machine with the 17" TFT (D-D07302a) and a laptop then you get the Dimension machine for £226.how did you manage to get the 17 incher @ £226?
OR do what I did (if you're feeling brave) - I ordered the Dimension and Laptop but changed the Dimension processor to a 2.8GHz Pentium 4, giving a cost of £233.80 for that and about £370 for the laptop. After my order was placed I IMMEDIATELY cancelled the laptop order and Dell have only charged me the £233.80 for the Dimension with a 17" flat screen. (NOTE: most reviews I've seen say that this is a 25ms response time NOT the 16ms claimed by Dell).
If you want to take advantage of this offer it expires on 20th July - i.e. TODAY, so you need to decide quickly if you want it.You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0
