Reduce warranty to 90 day collect and return (you still have a 12 month warranty, but they will only do free collection and delivery for warranty repairs/replacement during the first three months)Thanks to all who post constructively.
Have an A1 day!0 -

Re: the warranty - once you add this to your basket and look at System Details it states that BOTH the service AND the warranty are 90 days only.0 -
it is 90 days collect and return...the product does still have its 12 months standard warrenty.0

Thanks - appreciate the clarification. Has anyone actually bought something with 90 day CAR and then managed to get it fixed under warranty after this 90 days??0

I know people that have, but they had to pay for collection and delivery...Thanks to all who post constructively.

hmmm.... and Dell's delivery doesn't come very cheap. And if they charge for this both ways ...ouch!! Suppose i could pay using my own carrier for sending it back but not return...0
-
...and that is why the whole deal is cheap, because you'll be looking at Dells standard £57 to ship it back to you and that's after you've paid £17.63 to ship to NI (and that's only insured cover for £100)(parcel2go)0

On Ebay people are reselling these with the benefit of whatever Dell warranty they bought them with (either the basic 90 days or the full expensive 3 year version). Is this allowed and can a 2nd buyer actually claim under the warranty ? I would not want to resell offering this if it does not work. Equally trying to sell with no warranty is hopeless.0
