Unfortunately IIRC repos are excluded from the LR index.
"Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.
Mrs. Pench took the money. "What will you do with it all? Not that it's any of my business," he giggled.
"I think I'll become an alcoholic," said Betty.

RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

Lot 253, Apartment 116, Quebec Building, Bury St, Salford was sold twice on 18/05/06, once for £144,130 and then for £181,950.

Which do you suppose is the correct figure?

More to the point what do you think it's going to sell for in 10 minutes?

IIRC in the last crash Docklands in London was one of the really big losers - ok flats in horrible parts of town (Isle des Chiens anyone?).

Perhaps the same thing is happening in the other 'Regeneration Areas'. In Docklands the regeneration area was just really a ribbon by the river. Go a road or 2 back and the chi-chi wine bars and estate agents with fridges full of water give way to some pretty rough estates.

locally we only have small ones too...what I meant was this BM one....more, same , less than last year?

Clive Emson is another large firm (I think They feature on the BBC's Homes under the Hammer) and you could check the number of properties in the catalogue for their next auctions on 15-19 February http://www.cliveemson.co.uk/download.asp
against results from previous auctions http://www.cliveemson.co.uk/past_results.asp

I remember that time well...Shadwell is pricey now too.
Just served a couple of 20 somethings down from London, clutching EA deteails. She is a midwife and rents in Hackney (where exLA start at £250k), wants to move to Brighton.
Has access to 25% deposit from NHS. She had a look at the auction and now I feel bad as she wants one of the overpriced newbuilds in our area...EA played it up too...I referred her to MSE...hopefully she will ask some Q's first.
She has saved a deposit too.

Just remember that guide prices are just part of the marketing. Some are set low (to get buyers in) others high (to get sellers in next time).

If she wants a new place, it looks like it's better to buy one a couple of years old at auction and get 40% off!
