I have known some people Buy-To-Let portfolios, who always scoff at the likelihood of prices falling; they have always said to me that, as soon as prices do start to drop, they will be in like a shot to expand their empires at reduced rates.

    Where are they all today?

They are out buying sensible investment properties not wasting their money on overpriced "new builds" ;-)

OK Birmingham city centre modernist tower block 250k when new in September '06 just went for 155k.

ARgh thats the new build ( super tall glass building ) with hotel in same block

Makes me wonder if the original £250K was a normal sale price, or a paper exercise

Quick Q; at these auctions is this roughly the normal ammount of props to go under the hammer? Or are there more at the moment?
Only answer if you can make yourself pause watching the action;)

Think that this auction house is one of the larger ones. There are quite a few that will just offer a handful of properties.
