  • Good evening,

Well we had another phone call from Halifax and eventually answered - in fact they were quite civil and said they HAD received the paperwork and would review our circumstances in 2 months!! As if anything would have changed by then!!

Just waiting from Barclaycard now but good to hear that they may be OK about it all, thanks SortingIt.

Well being Provident I am pretty sure you are soon going to be getting letters or if you want to ring them and ask them to post an account balance out?

Do you have any paperwork also from when you set it up with an account number on? Sorry never dealt with Provident so not sure what paper work you are issued with.

I wouldn't worry too much you can always put a note into CCCS that they have taken your book away and what you think the balance is. Sure they will write soon enough though!
  • Good evening folks.

Just had a read through the posts. Everyone is busy!

A strange thing occured today. Global whatsits (MBNA in-house collection peeps) left a message on OH mobile to ring them. So, being a good OH he did just that (he looks forward to the daily conversations with his new creditor pals) Any hoo, he rang. They said "why have you rung us?" He said, "cos you left a message to ring you" ....

They said "your account is up-to-date and no further action will be taken" .....

    so, he said "eh?"

They said "have you recently made a payment as your account is up-to-date?"

    so, he said "no" ...

    and they hung up!

What do you make of that then?

Can I say I think they are stupid!?!
  • Well, the thought did cross our minds.

Either that, or we are somehow on a parallel universe!
