    Hi Sortingit

The next time a creditor calls you ask them "Are you recording this call" most times they will say yes, anyway regardless of what they say, inform them "You are recording the call" watch what happens :rotfl: :rotfl:

If they continue with the call, ask them for their full name, if they refuse, ask to be transfered to a supervisor :p

Do that for each and every creditor that calls you.

They'll soon get the message :D:D

  • Your right about the Halifax.
They are a waste of space, they have today sent me a surly note saying that I owe them xx number of pounds in arrears and havn`t been in touch explaining myself to them.
Both myself and CCCS have wrote and told them I was starting a DMP and now they expect me to phone them.....don`t think so.

I'm a year in tinkerbell, was expecting the charges to return but not sure about the late fee - they've moved the date. Are they doing this legitimately or to try and get two payments this month?
Who knows - we are in first month with DMP and Halifax seem to be ignoring this fact so we are just expecting them to default us and add charges until it gets sorted (or should I say if!) I would ring them and ask about the change of date. I wouldn't put it past them!!

    Sorry mumzy, no idea.

I think Halifax are digging their own hole with us really. Still other things to worry about for now so they can do as they wish for the time being.

They were dead good after the first couple of months, froze interest and left us alone for 10 months, now they've said seven months of charges and hassle then we go to a DCA.

  • There are some really interesting points about Halifax here - thanks for all the tips. They have rang twice tonight and we have just ignored the phone!

Is anyone with Barcalycard and have any experience with how they react?

if you are with DMP for say 1 year and suddenly a creditor puts alot of intrest on or charges after not having any charges or intrest for say a year....do you have to pay the charges and intrest???

Well, technically yes. We are allowing them to add it on, hoping that the DCA that take it over will be a bit nicer

Taken this from the Provident website I take it you do mean the people who come round your house and cost a fortune - not being nasty just can't think of a better way to describe them.

Provident Personal Credit Limited. Registered Office: Colonnade, Sunbridge Road, Bradford BD1 2LQ.

With regard Natwest is it for a credit card, loan or overdraft?
