Got my login details for the Manage My Plan section on the CCCS website, but according to that I've not made a payment yet when I paid at the PO with the Trans Cash slip on the 1st. Is it showing no payment because CCCS don't actually pay the creditors until the 25th (or whatever date it is?).

For anyone interested in my car cutting out issue. It went in this morning and has cost £182. Thankfully our kid who has debt, but a better grasp of it than me is going to put the bill on his credit card for me and I should be able to pay him off before the end of the month :j

No it just takes ages for it show up!! ;) I pay mine on 1st of the month, the website usually says they received it on 9th or 10th of the month and doesn't usually update to even show that until about the middle of the month or so. If you are worried, ring them and check they got it - but their website is a bit slow to update and show your payments. ;)

  • hi Coolmum

I stopped my DMP with CCCS towards the end of last month.I sent CCCS an email advising them that I was cancelling the plan. They then sent me out a self help pack with different letters in that can be used to send to creditors, my latest income and expenditure, a list of creditors names and adresses and a list of my monthly payments.
As soon as you inform them (CCCS) then you can not access the online service for DMP so if you want any information about your plan print it out before you cancel it.
I then set up standing orders for my creditors to coincide with the date they would normally get paid. I only spoke to the creditors whose bank account details I did not have - they were fine and I have written confirmation from them that interest etc is still frozen.
    So,so far so good -

Geoffmr1, sorry not to reply earlier but have only just caught up with posts on here. I already have an agreement with MBNA. They have agreed to let us pay them 25000 to clear 75000. 33%? So thanks very much for the advice but will bear it in mind for others. Am sticking with 25% for the moment.

Welcome to this great thread to all new folk. Hope it helps you. It has certainly helped me.

Hi everyone, I have a question! I've been on a DMP with CCCs for 11 months now. One of my creditors is SAINSBURY'S BANK, they agreed to stop interest and charges for 6 months. This months statment has just arrived and the interest and late payment fee has reapeared. My question is what happens now?

Hi Amani - not sure but think you can request CCCS to write to them again to request interest to stop.

I had Mint loans agree for 6 months (but not even tell me) and then they rang to ask if I can increase payments - so I said not at the current time and so they issued me a default. But then again interest is all pre-loaded anyway.

Someone else may have more clue than me though :o

I have a CCA question - I sent a formal CCA request to Stupid Universal as well as the General Credit Co to try and find out what money they have actually got (since they've "lost" payments). I sent these on 4th March - but the Royal mail website says to come back later as it can't be tracked till it's delivered. Do you reckon they are going to refuse to accept the CCA request letter? If so, what do I do?

SOmeone else had this problem before and I can't remember who now - sorry!

Me personally I would a) either start a new topic up and ask those in the know and b) if its applicable stop paying them.

They are not allowed to refuse to supply one nor refuse to accept a letter requesting one, and if they haven't supplied one then they cannot prove to you they owe the debt.

But I could be over simplyfing.
