Lloyds were rubbish with us too, credit card ones were Ok think they were one of the first to accept but we had a current account with an overdraft that we were including and this took 9 months to sort out. One of the tricks they do is send a solicitors letter, its on grey paper from someone like Sechiatchi or someone which is basically there in house team. So if they do that don't worry as much as I did.

In the end I wrote a formal letter of complaint at there interest charges being added, they had also broke data protection and none of their letters ever made sense in response to mine, I got them to accept payments for a year, interest refunded and a case of wine. So don't let the b*****rs get you down!
  • Evening all,

Have to say Lloyds were rubbish with me too but once I told them a couple of times that I could not pay any more and that I was with Payplan they stopped with the telephone calls. I have now just made my 4th payment with Payplan and all of my 12 creditors have finally stopped charging interest (inlcluding Lloyds) so it does get better!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Sat night - having me a lazy one on the couch.

Rayday - thanks very much for your help earlier this week with my question about Albion....much appreciated!
  • Smilealot,

Great to hear from you. Pity it rains so much in Scotland though :) Well mainly on the west side. Take care of yourself.

Try not to worry too much I think most of us have dealt with Lloyds at some time just goes to show how much they over borrow! Best advice I can give is to deal with them in writing, that way when they make mistakes you have it in writing and can prove what is said.

But don't forget we are here to help you with any bits that come up.

    Hi,

Can I join in too. I am not in DMP at the moment as am offering token payments to creditors untill I can get situation to be better. I am waiting housing benefit to kick in for me to offer at least some kind of payments. I haven't had as yet read through other posts but will keep going through them bit by bit. What I have seen so far is that people seem to have had probs with Lloys. Same here, they are the only ones that keep calling. I was a bit naughty thou :o as I did a balance transfer to Lloyds card just before I had to stop paying my monthly payments as my other card had gone over the limit and I didn't want to risk that bank to come with a bulldozer for breaching the contract by being over the limit when I stop paying them.

Will catch up with earlier posts very soon.
