    Hi All

Just a quick update. We had a letter from Littlewoods today asking us to phone them regarding our situation. My DH rang them expecting the pressure and questions, but they just wanted us to know that they accept our DMP Payment :j

This is our 1st creditor to accept and it has really given us a lift we needed, the stress has been getting to us a little this past week.

We pay our 1st DMP payment on 1st July and CCCS have been fantastic so far.

Newlywed, I would suspect that you have received an automated letter in error. Send CCCS an email I'm sure they will come back and say all is well.

Shazand, that is great news. The rest will follow suit.

I have made more steps in reclaiming my charges. I have sent letter 1 to 4 creditors (2 are bank accounts so will just go in the queue until test case thing finalised) plus in addition to that another 1 has made an offer which I have rejected to try to get full amount. I have asked the rest for a full list of my charges. I am hoping that I will get amounts off some debts in doing this.

I'm getting brave. I finally plucked up the courage to do this 1 year ago with Hellifax but they didn't send statements until after the whole thing was put on hold.

Hope this makes you laugh as much as it did us!

We sent off our letters a few weeks ago along with token payments of £5. Today DH got a letter from Barclaycard telling him he is such a good customer that they have upped his spending limit!

What is the world coming to?:rotfl:

    LOL at Just Me.

I'm sure creditors do this to entertain us.

Lloyds sent me a letter a couple of weeks ago asking me to return my cheque book, then 2 days later they sent me a new one!

Just a quick grumble. I made my 1st payment online so to save the fee at the post office. I paid on the 29th as it was due 1st June and it hasn't made it to CCCS yet. Really concerned as to where my money has gone as I can't afford to lose £103. I can't call my bank as I'm at work and they con't be contacted online. Grrr! Can't get too annoyed. Probably my fault, although I did double check all the details.

It was my 1st payment to CCCS and it's late. Anyone have any ideas how they'll react?

Hi, the first payment can be made a little late. I think I was told as long as they get it before 10th then it would be ok for a first payment.

If you are checking the online details as to whether your money got there, that is always slow to update - takes days to show up - even when paid by Direct Debit. Best ring them and check if they got it ;)

Thanks. On 4th June they said they hadn't received it. I've just emailed them to see if they've received it yet but not put it on the system. If not I'll have to call the bank tonight to find out where it's gone. Hope it's all gone in ok. Just want everything to go smoothly for a change.

If I remember rightly, I think CCCS asked that my first payment be made by Transcash through the Post Office. I'm not sure why they request this. CCCS tend to work on a month up front and this is also how they may make some profit, hence the first payment in cash via the Post office. That way, it hits their bank faster. In any case, following the first couple of payments to CCCS it all settles down.

They did ask for it to be made by transcash but my budget is so extremely tight I wanted to save money and they are aware that it was being made online, as I made the payment on 29th it should have made it there ontime but has gone astray somewhere. Online banking shouldn't take as long as it does really but it's much more convenient if you're stuck in work all the time.

I am sure that last time Martin was on GMTV discussing this topic, he said that if you are experiencing financial difficulty, then the banks have to look at your case straight away irrespective of the current test case decision and can't just "put it on hold". Might be worth some further investigation.
