Hi Just Me,
I don't have any experience with MBNA, but I'm sure that as soon as they see regular payments coming through, they will be fine. One of my creditors continued to write and call for a while despite accepting my DMP since my 3rd payment has gone - I've heard nothing.LBM : March 2008

This is our sixth year on DMP through CCCS and a coulpe of ours have started adding on considerable interest so much so that most of the payment is going to interest and not reducing the balances.""

Ill be honest mbna has been one of my best creditors, in fact I owed them 5k and they added interest for quite a number of months but then finally accepted the dmp, about 6 months later they wrote to me to tell me that they had cleared the arears and my file would show my payments on time from now on prioviding they got the money from CCCS every monthDmp Mutual Support thread member No 820 -
Hi Just Me,
I'm waiting for my creditors to accept dmp, none have been in touch yet although halifax ring every hour with a stupid automated message saying that if it's me that picks up the phone then 'press 1 to speak to an advisor' so far I havent I'm just plucking up the courage but dont feel strong enough yet!
Good luck!
We've had this, it got to 25 calls per day ranging from 8am - 8pm, a bleddy nightmare so we wrote to them and asked politely to take us off the autodialler and correspond by post only in future...... and !!!!!! me it worked!
Worth a try?!MSE-ing since 20070 -
Thanks Nicki Sue I'll try it. It was funny to begin with but with two small kids and my short fuse the novelty soon wore off. I always have to answer the phone because I do Ann Summers parties and mystery shops and dont want to miss anyone booking me!DMP mutual support number 199Debt free in [strike]2025[/strike] 2018 (hopefully a lot sooner!):j Smokefree since 10pm 2/7/08 :jBaby no.3 due 29/04/20110

Thanks guys for offering advice and support, feel better this evening!
I will be brave when I speak to Goldfish tomorrow to say we can not afford anymore and they need to wait for our SOA from Payplan.
Your right, we are going to end up with a default anyway, paying them would just delay it for a few more weeks and just leave me short of cash.
Thanks loads guys xx

JVic28, have you checked and double checked the sortcode and account number you used for CCCS? Just check it. You may have missed a digit or something. Have a look. If that doesn't show up anything contact your bank and ask them for advice.
Yes, I double checked the sort code and account number online and I called them and they read out the sort code and account number to me and they matched. I asked the bank for advise on what to do and they couldn't suggest anything. I'm gonna wait and see what CCCS reply with. I asked them if I could fax them my statement as proof. Now I wish I just coughed up the extra and did it at the post office.

MBNA have been my only creditors who have written to me about my Payplan amount, although apparently most of them have accepted my payments. That's a huge relief, and most of the phone calls have stopped at last, too. I know I'll get a default from MBNA but I've already got one from them back in February - can I have two? Or is that being greedy?LBM: March 2008DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 1980 -
Morning everyone
Angelcake - re Goldfish, they were actually ok with us and as soon as we gave them our CCCS reference number they left us alone - as per usual, these creditors are so inconsistent. You can request that they don't call you - they should put a note on your file and if they do it again, tell them you'll report them for harrassment - that should shut them up!
MBNA questions - they accepted our DMP straight away and stopped all interest. They did say they needed payments by 24 of each month but I called to explain it would be more like the 30th, which they were fine with.
Anyway, this morning's post brought letter from Lloyds confirming DMP accepted but still adding interest - will be writing to them about that  Also had store card statement which is also still adding interest. Hoping to get most if not all interest reduced if not stopped as this will obviously help DFD, but at the moment I'm kind of just happy that we are paying all the bills and still have money in the bank and no one is giving us any grief.
However, also in post this morning was letter from solicitors acting for NR in response to our response and defence to their CC papers. It would appear from the tone of the letter that if we can come to an agreement with regards to the payment they are offered then proceedings will stop. Obvioulsy they want more than we have offered and tbh, I can kind of see their point, in as much as they say that there are four creditors with a smaller balance but getting a higher payment. but CCCS say that this because it is worked out on contractual payment rather than prorata of the actual amount owed. Mind you the amount they say that they want is more than the contractual payment - LOL! Still I think that there is room for maneouvre with NR and it's not quite as set in stone as I first thought.
I am thinking about coming away from CCCS and doing this myself because if I can avoid a CCJ/CO by paying NR a little more then I would like to, but CCCS won't let me. Also it would help our cashflow at the moment to hold on to our money til the end of each month (when the payments are due) rather than paying it on the first and it sitting with CCCS for a month. I know that's how they make their money, but again, TBH, I have done a lot of the agreeing with creditors myself, so wonder if I should let CCCS help people who maybe need their support more. I think being able to quote CCCS to start with was a help, but now creditors have agreed I don't suppose they care who manages the payments so long as they get them?0
