Hm is this the calm before the storm?

We got identical letters from Lloyds TSB for each of our loans today thanking us for the £5 payment and offering advice and assistance on their freephone number whenever we want. WOW!:T

Hi Just Me, we got the same letter earlier this week, so I thought I would bite the bullet and ring them however there was a 20-30 min wait

Let me know if you get through and what they say as they are our 2nd biggest creditor.

....and from what I gather, you send them the same CCA request and when they fail to produce it, tell them to b*gger off the same as the last lot.

Just had my second call from RMA. Looks like I'm going to have to get heavy.

Any ideas where the template for 'stop phoning me and forget my number' letter is? along with the relevant statutes etc

Hi there, we have had letters and a 'lovely' calling card from RMA. Hubby called them and told them we were with Payplan and quoted the ref number. They said OK will put this on file! Think most of their calls are scare tatics!

I suspect they have started interest again because youve changed DMP organisers and once Payplan kicks in it will all sort out again - i may be wrong and im sure someone wil tell you if i am

as for the iva is that their only suggestion?

HI Lisa, fancy meeting you here. :j

Sometimes creditrs start to add interest after a period of time, but it can sometimes be stopped again. Have payplan said anything else other than the IVA route?

I was a bit fed up earlier due to not feeeling to well, but then I had a call from Churchwood chasing up my cancellation letter......I politely informed them that they had received it as they had cashed my £1 cheque.....they've gone off to investigate. If they think they are getting anymore money out of me they have another thing coming!

Trouble is they have me in a corner becuase they have been looking after my DMP for nearly 3 years that I don't have any of my creditors details!!!!

I'll get it out of them though.

How is everyone this evening? x

It's been a couple of weeks since I posted on here, although I have been eagerly reading all the advice!

Anyway, in that time my 1st CCCS payment has been distributed to my creditors, and 2nd payment made to CCCS. Lots of letters from Egg Loan threatening the world was about to come crashing down round my ears, each of which I replied to simply re-stating that I was on DMP with CCCS - and then today I got a letter from them accepting the reduced payments. Hurrah! Still going to default me, obviously, but said they will stop charges. Very relieved as I was beginning to think it would never happen.

Still waiting to hear from the 2 credit cards - I have a horrible feeling they won't accept as my reduced payments are very close to the minimum payment for both, so they'll probably keep slapping on interest and charges. Intelligent Finance keep making automated calls to my mobile, which I don't answer - they can respond to my letters if they want to have a dialogue!

Still 1 out of 3 ain't bad this early in the process, so for everyone else just starting out on their DMP, I just wanted to show you that it is possible to get at least some creditors to accept quite quickly!

    hi
just had a phone call from Link Financial to say that they won't be accepting my token payment of £10 this month. Citizens Advice Bureau is about to send my creditors my financial statement along with offers of payment to them. I have just over £3,000 with Link and they have been ok up till now.

In fact they said they wouldn't be accepting any offer of payment unless in full.

Should I just keep sending the monthly offer that CAB offers them on my behalf?

    Hi Crysta1010

I would let the CAB write to them. I've seen a few creditors reject offers first time round but they usually aacept in the end when they see your financial statement.

    Don't worry.
