    Hi Everyone,

Just spent the whole day on the phone - bill must be massive!!
Sorting out the mortgage arrears £2456 ouch! Council tax arrears £229
and my CCJ £1500 - got to fill out a N245 form to sort out payments ASAP!!

Thanks to CCCS last night and all your support I have managed to get a level head together to face everyone on the phone. Yesterday and the past two months I just ignored everything hoping it will go away.

To be honest everyone I have spoke to have been very understanding - just got to find by the end of the month £1410 mortgage - £90 Council Tax and lots more. I can just about get the mortgage sorted and then we will still have a roof over our head! Then they will add the remaining £1300 to the mortgage and pay extra each month. Just got to keep to the payments after that!
Rang the CHARGING DM company today(Debt Free Me) to say I am switching to non fee paying CCCS! They were not happy and claimed that CCCS are paid by the creditors and don't look after their clients. Could this be a scare tactic by them to try and keep me with them? They also said to look on the net at watchdog about bad reports on them? By reading alot of the messages left by yourselves and your recommendations you seem happy with CCCS!
Please let me know what you think - as they have got my mind ticking over on whether it is good idea - They also said alot of customers have come back to them after switching to CCCS!

    Cheers

Remember the people at that company are on bonuses or paying their mortgages depends on keeping you as a customer!

CCCS is funded by all the finance companies, just the same as other bodies are like alcohol charities help fund AA etc etc

Most people who change from a fee paying company to CCCS find that in fact the CCCS give you far more on their budget to live on than a fee paying company - this is because fee paying companies work on percentages so the more they get out of you the more payment they get. But I think it reflects on just how unbiased the CCCS are that allow you more to live on and make creditors wait.

You are doing fab don't get gittery now!

It's in their interests to try and put ypu off CCCS as they cant make any money out of you if you switch. Im on a long haul DMP with CCCS and the last year has been such a relief thanks to them.

I don't believe a word of it! I would love to hear what CCCS has to say about this. I think this firm must be a bunch of vultures willing to say/do anything so that they can keep taking your money.

True, CCCS is funded by the banks but they have no say or control over how they work or what they do.

    Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all the support - I am still going to switch to CCCS. I run hot foot to the bank this morning to cancel the direct debit to 'Debit Free Me' That will be an extra £208 to the mortgage this month!!

It is hard to keep level headed as even the companies who advertise they are on your side to get you out of debt are conning you as well!! Always when you are at your lowest point!!

Thanks to you lot you have given me the strength to conquer!

    Cheers

Let's see... CCCS take no fee, so your debt gets paid off quicker. DFM take a fee to keep you in debt longer and make a nice profit out of your debt. Now who will be upset about you moving to the free company ;)

I've had absolutely no issues with CCCS. One full year and all I can say is that they are great, really nice on the phone (even when you sob down it at them ;)) and ever so helpful if you ring up to say you have a problem and can't pay your full DMP payment that month - only done that once though :o.
