  • AmyV, that sounds awful and I can only send you my sympathy as I don't know how to help other than to suggest you get advice from CCCS as well as contact the court. Recorded delivery to court with your ph no asking them to ring urgently? Otherwise keep phoning? Good luck anyway. I believe courts do find in our favour if they know we are paying regularly. Rayday2 knows more than me and may be able to help. She is a star.

Monkey I will start singing radio ga ga! I thought about you the other week, but you were not around to share. We booked one of those sun specials and we have ended up at Pontins - hubby is well happy on the booking form they mention the womens netball championships are on lol!

How you doing you gone for another sun special?
  • Sorry, really need to vent. I have just answered the phone to Lowell (the first time I've answered the phome to them in months), and it goes as follows;

Them: Can I speak to Miss CS?
    Me: Speaking.
Them: I just need to confirm some security details . . .
Me: No, you don't, I have written to you requesting that you no longer contact me by phone but in writing only.
Them: Well obviously we have been writing to you but you've just been ignoring our letters . . .
Me That's an absolute lie, I have not received one letter from you (true, last letter I got was last April)
Them: Right, fine, we'll be in touch again (hangs up)

They're bullies. Obnoxious. Self-righteous. Hateful. Not one letter have I received from them in all this time. How dare they turn it back around on to me? I know that it's just their tactics, but I'm so mad now!!!

    Rant over.

Lloyds did that to me said I was ignoring letters (they can't ring don't have my number) so I wrote a long letter listing all the letters with references they had sent and all my replies and finished asking them why they had not acknowledged my letters and just sent out meaningless computer genearted junk!

Good for you sticking to your guns but it does pee you off!
  • Ray.

I tell you what the Sun Hoilidays are really good actually. We had a really good time in the New Forest. Hope you have a good one at Pontins and the Womens Netball sounds an added bonus for your OH :rotfl:.
Not doing one this year as I am boot fairing and ebaying like mad to go to Florida in November.

Hope you are well and you have done a sterling job on DMP Thread No 3 :T

    Hi again

Thank you all for your advice and support - I don't know what I'd do without you lovely people. My husband finally managed to get through to the Court, and explained the problem that the Solicitor wilfully did not submit my Admission form to the Court.

We put together a comprehensive letter last night to the Court explaining exactly what has gone on with copies of all the letters between us and the Solicitor and sent it special delivery.

So now he has had a chance to talk to the Court, they confirmed that while we are trying to sort this out, the Solicitor could apply for a charging order and apply to go to his employer - but the Court would not grant that without talking to my husband first - which was a great relief - and basically what you guys have said.

They said that because they wilfully did not inform the Court they had received the Admission form, they are in breach of the rules and the Court will not look upon them favourably.

My husband has asked for a re-determination and has also asked for a Hearing at the local Court (it is currently through the Bulk Clearing Centre at Northampton)- so he can tell the District Judge exactly what is going on. I feel a lot more positive now.

Sorry if I scared anyone earlier - especially the new people - I am sure this is a rarity - and I am sure the Court will help us sort this out properly.

It is just sickening that a solicitors feel they can flout the rules in this way, when my husband is doing everything he can to sort this out going through the proper process.

Just goes to show no one is above the law, good luck with wording that letter and make sure you put everything in!

YM - Hark at you Florida! My Flordia savings went on my MIL last year, but we will get there one day. A friend of ours has a villa out there and she is always encouraging it. But I know it sounds daft, I would rather go indendantly of friends in case her villa is not all its cracked up to be lol
