Morning All:D
Just popped in to say hello and welcome to our new friends. Hope everyone is well and not too stressed.
YM - Have a lovely time today at the park.
NOMORESAND - Welcome, love the name.
Well done on facing your debts and trying to sort them out. I think a lot of people put on their DMP forms the reason for debt as "over commited on credit" this is what I put and I have had no problem. Hope that helps.
All is well in teecee world at the moment, still waiting for my yearly review from CCCS and I'm not sure how it works, do they contact me or should I ring them??
Take Care

I had a 6 months reviewAnyway they wrote to me saying they will ring on this date and if it's not convenient then ring them
Think they said I shouldn't need another review until 1 year after that - but that if my circumstances changed then I can request one - could be wrong thoughworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

I put "Over-committed on credit" too, and don't appear to have had any come back either.
Good luck with the forms et al, I know it can seem a bit daunting, but once up and running you'll be fine - look at us lot!!!!

I had an initial review after 3 months just to check if the budget was sufficient or i found i needed more or less than originally set. I upped my payment by about £10 a month and they said that they would review in 12 months time, maybe they meant 12 months after that initial review
I really want to up my payments a bit even if its only £10 a month but like you said in an earlier post the cost of living is going up all the time and much as I want to get my DFD down I don't want to end up struggling to buy the basics.
I manage ok at the moment, nothing extravagant but okDEBTS @ 1/1/07 - £25,800:eek: DEBT @ 04/05/11 - NIL

......
I have just received the County Court Claim form from Weightmans who are going to get a CCJ against me & then go for the Charge on my house anyway.
Although on the whole CCCS have been great, in this instance I got differing advice from 3 people within CCCS & it left me more confused than ever!!
Hi Geoffmr - I am a relative newbie here but I am fast gaining experience ;-) Re the CCj and a charge on the house, don't worry too much the County Court are there to be fair to all. They won't just agree to a Charge because Weightmans tell them they want it!! otherwise all creditors would automatically go for it to secure the debt on the house.
I don't know if you've seen my recent postings but one of my husband's creditors have managed to get a judgment forthwith on us - just so they could get a Charge on the Property. However, as they got the judgment by wilfully withholding our Admission form, my husband phoned the Court yesterday about it to try to stop a Charge while we sort out the problem. They were very good on the phone - not at all judgmental (lets face it they must see 100s a day!)
They said there is no way they would just issue a Charging Order on the property without contacting you first to get your side of the story and look at how you are now dealing with the debt - they are not there to punish you.
We have actually asked to go for a Hearing because the solicitors have behaved so badly, but we were told it probably wouldn't get that far and their claim would probably get thrown out so they would have to resubmit. (I hope they just redetermine it though - as I want to stop all communication with these solicitors asap)
So don't feel they are dragging you there - it could be to your advantage to talk to the Court. :-)
If it is clear you are trying to be responsible to sort out your debts, and paying a regular albeit reduced amount to the Creditor there should be no need to put a charge on the house.
In any case the charge would not come into effect unless you sold the property or defaulted on your payments.
Hope that has given you a bit of help :-)0 -
Sorry - I've got another question. Does anyone have an address for Egg please? I've been though their website and can't seem to find one, just phone numbers
