Hi All,
Just a quick question really. I'm gonna do a joint DMP with DH through CCCS and they are hoping we will be ready for 1st April. DH pretty depressed so I am dealing with it all and need to track down details for a couple of his debts. How has anybody else managed to talk to companies on anothers behalf? Could I perhaps fax them his authorisation or something as he isn't well enough for any hassle.
I lied I have a second question, this may sound stupid bit I forgot to ask the CCCS lady, when making token payments how do you do it if you haven't got a cheque book anymore?
Thanks again Tara0 -

Hi Tara, I deal with my OH debtors on his behalf. They just needed him to verify who he was and to give his consent for me to speak to them, most then put a note on his account or put a password on it for me to use when i ring in. Other than Northern Rock who kept losing the password, it's been ok and i've had no problems. Good luck to you as i know how hard it is when you're left with everything not only the debts, running the home, looking after the kids and worrying about hubby. I've never told anyone about our problems and without this site and the help & support i've had i don't think i would have ever coped. So remember if it all gets too much come and have a chat xx0

All my DMP forums went back to the creditors and CCCS on Friday and just got my first letter from a creditor
No acknowledgement of my DMP, but Egg arn't too happy I cancelled my Egg Card direct debit. My Egg Card is £620 with min payments of £12pcm at the moment. Can't wait to see the letter they send when they've realised I've cancelled the direct debit on my £22k Egg Loan :rotfl:0 -

Yeah it'll be a stinger, but they'll get the hint eventually!
I started my DMP last month, and out of 6 creditors I only got real hassle from one - GE Money. They turned the DMP down outright, and rang me once or twice a day every day (despite me requesting contact in writing only), but I think even they've got the hint now! Lowell Financial hassled me for a short while, but they are now in default on a CCA request, so they've gone mysteriously quiet! The Student Loans Company were quite reasonable, and they're letting me apply for deferment again (old rules). RBS (CC, Loan & O/D) haven't contacted me once, by post or phone. I don't know yet if that's a good thing or not!!!
Any hassle needs the same response - YOU'RE GETTING ALL I CAN AFFORD!!!LBM: 14.01.08 - Debt at 25.04.08: £7420.925.06.10: 3200.00 :T I'm over half way there!!! :j

Hi all, just having a bit of a wobbly and need some reassurance if that's possible about my DMP with Payplan. My first payment went out on the 31/01 and has reached my creditors. I have 12 creditors and have so far received 4 letters terminating accounts which have been passed to DC's. What happens next? What are the DC's like? My Amex card went to a DC within days of me me missing one payment and before the DMP was finalised with my SOA. I haven't heard anything from them which is fine - just wondering what I can expect from the others? I know I have done the right thing with the DMP though, just wish I had done it years ago...............0
