  • Hello reformed shopaholic :)

Yes, OH spoke to Payplan who stated that the only way MBNA can touch your Alliance and Leicester bank account is if you have an Alliance and Leicester credit card.

:A A BIG sigh of relief in that case! Thanks a million for clearing that one up WhoopieDoodle (love the name by the way) :D

I'm thinking that I need to have my Alliance & Leicester account as Nationwide refused to let me have a basic account as long as I have any form of account with anyone else - nice eh? Made me a bit upset the way they spoke to me but as long as i'll be ok with Alliance & Leicester that's all that matters really - well, that and the tiny matter of the large debt I have to pay ...

Cheers everyone, think it's time for a very large drink

  • Sorry Hampster poo for posting below your thread replying to a much earlier one - sorry I'm not in a position to offer any advice as just waiting for my DMP to arrive, but wanted to say sorry for just bunging in my thanks to Whoopie Doodle although they are heartfelt right after your request for advice. I will get the hang of this computer magic one day...promise...

I would also like a number please - don't know how I get one or use it and this message could well appear anywhere.....I think i'd better get to that drink

    Hi Reformed Shopaholic,

If you haven't yet opened that account with A&L then do it via quidco and get £50.- cash back. :D

    Hi all,
The posts get posted in time order - nothing to do with who you are trying to reply to - just first come first served ;)

Hamster - haven't any of your credit cards stopped interest at all? If so, then does it really matter who gets paid first? if they are charging interest then I know what you mean but CCCS can write and request charges are stopped. A DMP is meant to be based on the fact that the person owed the most out of your debt, gets the biggest payment. So if one increases, then all should increase in a kind of pro rata way.

As for my DMP - good news finally got the statement from Great Universal and they did indeed find the missing payments, and credited them all to my account and now that means when they clear the end of March payment - they owe me £1 :D So who thinks I should write asking for a cheque back ;)

Our DMP has been running for 2 yrs now with CCCS. We have not had any communication from RBOS or Tesco CCs since the start so have no idea if they are still adding interest/charges. TBH, it wouldn't surprise me if the barstewards are as they completely cleaned us out over the overdrafts and loan we had. Now we are too scared to write to them to find out the amount owing, its so silly really as CCCS are paying them for us every month. I think we have this idea that they won't notice us if we keep quiet!
Does anyone know if they usually stop interest, bearing in mind Tesco CC is affiliated to RBS?
