Happy Birthday Jackie (February is a great month for a birthday.......mine is the 24th). Just seen the weather forecast and a lovely few days apparently - mild, dry (makes a change - my lawn is like a lake) and sunny. The birds are already singing their little hearts out (I always think birdsong is one of the most uplifting and beautiful sounds) - they seem to think Spring has arrived and I`ll go along with that (until the rain or snow comes back anyway) !
Going for a power walk around the block as part of my new keep fit regime. Have a lovely day everyone and hope the sun manages to shine wherever you are !

Off to work today got my appraisal ( cancelled yesterday ), then need to do the month end accounts.
Got sainsbugs delivery tonight, they were late last week so gave us a £10 voucher, they were only two mins late, and I did not mind at all, but they can do it every week if they like:cool:
Got a quick oven fish and chips tonight, busy night for us.
Will have a quick swipe before work, and will need to put a wash on when I get back x

Morning all
Not had time to read the thread for today or yesterday.
Hugs as needed, please help yourself.
Katy's job is being advertised, so it looks like she'll be going in April.
She was up all night last night, we did ask her to quieten down, reapeatedly, but she has the memory span of a gnat.
Really busy at work as we are 3 staff members down, one staff member has recently started suffering from migraine & while she has my sympathy, the fact that she works 2 weeks & then has 2 weeks off really impacts on the rest of us. Not helped by her not following the Dr's advice!
I was so busy yesterday that I fell asleep while I was waiting for tea to cook.
Hubby worked yesterday, if he could get one day every week it would be good, but there is nothing else in the pipeline.
Have a good one
Hester

Morning all, and happy birthday JackieO
I finally feel that I've caught up on my sleep this week. The usual at work today. Tonight I'm packing for a weekend away on retreat:
http://www.burrswood.org.uk
I leave work Friday lunchtime to travel down and will get home early evening Sunday, hopefully sane and refreshed. I'll leave DH a list of housework he needs to do while I'm away, otherwise he'll spend 48 hours on the computer and do absolutely nothing.0 -
Morning everyone!
Happy Birthday Jackie O  have a great day!!
Tried out the new fryer the other nite, did some samosas and pancake rolls! The pancake rolls are from Lidls and are on half price at the moment (84p) and I can recommend them! The chips came out ok, but I have used veggie oil (which the book recommends) but I may put good old lard in next time, thats what my mum used to use. So now there's another gadget taking up work surface!:rotfl:
Went to asda yesterday for milk and happened to be there when the reduced meat came out - so I got plenty of bargains for the freezer, saving £16!:j
This morning I'm popping round to a friends for coffee and chat, and then try and get to the gym this afternoon.
Mioliere - thanks for the recipes!! x
amiee - "Ashes to Ashes" tonite - I shall be there!!!! hope its going to be as good as Life on Mars!

spent an hour last night searching for 2 ds game cartridges my sons got for christmas, they dont know what theyve done with them- ruddy things are so small they could be in a box with something else, dropped down anywhere or even thrown away for all i know:mad: . Did find £1.60 down the back of the sofa but no sign of the games yet.
went to watch last weeks 'pays to watch' and the vido was cracked looked like someone had stood on it so it wouldnt rewind:mad: DH spent an hour transfering the tape to a different housing so we could watch- it was watchable but the voices were so far out of sync it was laughable. tape is in the bin now.
got a course on child protection today so got to go in work early.
probally doing soup for dinner and hm veggie cottage pie and sprouts for tea. actually all eating together tonight!
i hope everyones day has something good in it.SPC~12 ot 124

Morning
Happy Birthday Jackie
Had a lovely long sleep yesterday afternoon, so combined with last night, I'm feeling much better.
Going to pop to the shops to get the free Mr Men book in the paper (think it's the Mirror) Going to put them aside for my friend's little one's birthday. :T
Meeting a frend for coffee later - she's very depressed and needs cheering up. Mum's taken to calling me Marge Proops lately, cos loads of my friends are constantly texting/calling for help and advice. Maybe I should persue a new career????:rotfl:
Have to sort out the building society later for the deposit on the flat and having an eyebrow wax.
Hope everyone's ok
Edit: Forgot to say Happy Chinese New Year to all celebratingComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -

Glad you got your dla sorted mrs_mix
Aussie, that's a terrible watse of young life and really sad.
Busy day yesterday - stuck here until 9pm and dreadfully hyperactive. Then I got on the bus home and was baking until 1 am as it was OH's birthday (he's gone out with work so wasn't around) and after I'd finished his cake, the cakes for a collegue that I'd promised (another birthday) I remembered OH has a collegue that doesn't eat eggs, so made so dark chocolate fruit things so she didn't feel left out. I also had my first crack at making butter as I got some cream reduced to 25 p on the way home and it's great. I made one salted block and one unsalted block. I got out of the labour intensive part by clamping the hand whisk (with only one beater) to the cupboard with a bench vice and leaving it running until it split.
I did the cake for my work colleague using ice-cream cones instead of muffin cups and it worked really well. They are really cute, I'll see if i can get a piccy up later on.
We're off to London this afternoon for OH's birthday - he doesn't know this yet. He just has strict instructions to meet me at the shops at 4pm.
have a good day, celyn x:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -

Happy Birthday to Jackie O - hope you spend it in a similar style to your namesake :bdaycake:
Hilstep - hope you're able to get a few better nights' sleep now.
Shez :hello: :hello: :cheesy:
Hester - are you counting the days until April :j
Haribo - just read last night's [STRIKE]ramblings[/STRIKE] postings - is it now The Rule that you may not post on OS unless you have a catDo hens and a cuddly pig count
If not, it was nice knowing you all
Your green-eyed cat is very cute
I now have a couple of weeks' off work (half-term next week) so will be trying to perfect my crochet today. I asked for some hooks on Freecycle and have been offered several sets. A lovely lady dropped some at my house yesterday while I was at w***, including some beautiful bone (I think) ones :T :T
Want to do some baking today - Twinks or Anzacs - can't decide :rotfl:
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0
