Oooo it's Jackie O's birthday!! That's why I am starting this so early, so that we can let her have her birthday wishes for the full 24 hours!!

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 7th February.. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

CM The updated version of the accident early yesterday evening is that it was an 18 yr old that died. No, the drains aren't that big. They were body surfing and his foot got caught in a grate. Very sad and very dangerous thing to do.

Well I've had a busy morning. I've got the dog food simmering away on the hob. Will get into some more sewing this arv. Very humid today. I'll try and position the machine near a window with a breeze. :rolleyes: Will pop back later. Byeeeeeeeeeee

Haven't popped in to one of these daily threads before - so hello to everyone:hello:
Should be in bed, but need to pop to the bank in the morning, so have been counting all the saved loose change and putting it in to bags to take with me and get it into the savings account. It's a tedious job.

hello to Lily-lu ... ive been saving the odd £2 coins here and there ( cant put everone away as you get too many in the change nowdays ) and i counted them up at the weekend and i had £166 worth !!!!!!! so they are going towards my holiday in France in July.

leftover cold lamb with spring onion mash and veg for tea tonight, fresh fruit sald for pud.

is anyone planning to watch the spin off to Life on Mars tonight.. its on at 9pm.. lol cant remember what its called !!!!!

I spent 5 hours clearing out the shed yesterday :rolleyes: I was only going to tidy it but ended up completely emptying it. I filled 2 bin liners and 2 boxes with rubbish - I was going 'that's rubbish, that's OK but not needed, that's for recycling' and throwing it all in a pile behind me. So now I need to sort it all :rolleyes: I found loads of stuff I'd forgotten about.

I need to iron, hoover and do 2 loads of washing today.

well the racket stopped at 11.50 last night, that just taking the p***:mad: one thing doing some jobs but not til that late on, dh is on earlies so no idea how much sleep he got!

he is going to speak to them today about it.
