It's not a plant, just cut rosemary in plastic packaging.
If I do freeze it, do I just put it in a freezer bag and that's it?Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

you can just put it in a bag or if you are using it finely chopped, then you can do that before freezing.
But if you were using it coarsely chopped, just put the whole thing in the freezer and run a fork down the stem when it's frozen. Easy0 -
Hi,
I'm hoping you can help, I'm trying to be good and use up the contents of my freezer.
Well I have a big pack of mince frozen, can I defrost it cook it and then re freeze it?
I hope I can cos I haven;t got a hope of eating it all over a 2 day period!!!
Thanks0 -
Course you can!
make sure its totally defrosted before you use it, but you can make up a jumbo pot of ragu sauce, and then freeze in portions, so a spag bol, a lasagne filling, or in a jacket potato, or even a breville toastie :T:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Help!
I got back from the Yeovilton Air Day, crashed out for a bit, and then proceeded to do one of my cottage pies for dinner for my Mum and I. I assembled it and was just about to put it into the oven, when she announces that she had done something for herself and didn't want anything else.
The 'half cooked' pie is currently in the fridge. We can't have it tomorrow, as we have arranged to go out to dinner with my daughter.
So, can I freeze it as it is, then defrost it and then cook it in the oven as in the recipe?
Or, should I cook it in the oven as in the recipe now, then freeze it?The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
I'd be tempted to finish the cooking and then freeze0

You can do it either way, but you'd save fuel by freezing it as it is and then cooking it once after defrosting, rather than cooking it now then reheating it again.0

Hi trying to do better,
I think most things are best used within a few of months of freezing but food won't go off in the freezer if you leave it for longer. However if it's left too long it can get freezer burn and the quality can deteriorate.
I've certainly had things in the freezer for longer than seven months and eaten them with no problems. If I was you I'd defrost it and take a look/sniff at it and if it seems ok then enjoy!
I'll add your post to the Quick Questions on freezing thread where you should get more advice.
